RUDE SECURITY I had a great night at Kicks, a bar where we ordered nearly four towers of drinks and plenty of food within an hour. I invited a friend from China who had just arrived in Melbourne to join us for a drink. Since it’s common in China to smoke indoors, my friend wasn’t fully aware of the rules here. Upon arriving at Kicks, right before the first few flights of stairs at the entrance, he took a single puff from his vape. Out of nowhere, security officer number 295 shouted at him, immediately denying him entry to the bar without even giving him a chance to explain. What made it worse was that there was no notice before the stairs about vaping restrictions, which would have helped tourists like my friend who just got here. I’ve seen people smoking inside Kicks before, and they usually get two warnings before being asked to leave, so it felt unfair that my friend wasn’t given any warning at all. When I tried to explain to the bouncer that my friend had just arrived and didn’t know the rules, the security officer became even more hostile. He started mocking us, saying we had “no common sense” about Australian law, and completely dismissed anything we tried to say. I was infuriated when he outright lied, claiming my friend had taken multiple puffs inside the property, which never happened. Despite my efforts to stay calm and explain the situation, the security officer was rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. The whole situation was blown out of proportion, and my friend was treated with such disrespect—it was a terrible experience.

🍹🥋 Midday Cocktails, Great Food & Fight Day Fun ☀️🍽️ I visited this place around midday with a group of friends to watch a martial arts fight, and it was such a great experience. We shared some cocktails and tasty food while enjoying the match — perfect mix of chill and excitement. It’s located on a second floor, which gives it a nice, open feel with a touch of privacy. The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. After the fight ended, we stayed for a while just hanging out, talking, and sipping a few more drinks. The whole vibe was laid-back and social — exactly what we needed to enjoy a sunny afternoon together. Highly recommended if you're looking for a relaxed place to enjoy good food, drinks, and good company — even in the middle of the day!

great spot to watch the match! - whatever sports match it may be - there is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors however note outdoors is also a non smoking area. plenty of screens in every corner to ensure you have visibility of the match thats on. they serve up a selection of foods to solo and foods to share, oh and a large array of beers to pair the game with! food overall was on the average side, and so was the service... but who are we kidding.. are we here for the food or here for the match and lively atmosphere!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment, and let me tell you, it's an absolute gem for watching sports! Whether you're into football, basketball, or any other thrilling match, this place has it all. With ample seating options available both indoors and outdoors, you're guaranteed a fantastic viewing experience.

One of the standout features of this venue is the abundance of screens strategically placed in every corner. No matter where you choose to sit, you'll have an unobstructed view of the game. It's a sports lover's dream come true! You can immerse yourself in the excitement and never miss a single play.

Now, let's discuss the culinary offerings. The menu boasts a diverse selection of both individual and shareable dishes, perfectly suited for any appetite. While the overall food experience was decent, it didn't particularly wow me. However, it's important to remember that the primary reason for being here is not solely the food, but the electrifying atmosphere and the intense match unfolding before your eyes.

As for the service, it was satisfactory but not exceptional. Although the staff could have been a bit more attentive and prompt, it didn't significantly impact the overall experience. When you're engrossed in the game and swept away by the lively ambiance, minor service shortcomings become less noticeable.

Let's face it—when we come to a place like this, we're not solely driven by the food or the service. We're here to revel in the exhilaration of the match and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. This establishment excels in creating an engaging environment for passionate sports fans. The lively cheers, the camaraderie amongst fellow enthusiasts, and the shared moments of triumph and defeat make for an unforgettable experience.

To complement the intense sporting action, the venue offers an extensive array of beers. Whether you prefer a crisp lager, a hoppy IPA, or a refreshing ale, you'll find the perfect beverage to accompany your game-time excitement. It's a delightful way to enhance the overall enjoyment and celebrate your team's victories.

In conclusion, while the food may be average and the service may not be extraordinary, this destination unquestionably stands out as a fantastic choice for sports enthusiasts. It provides an electrifying atmosphere, ample seating options, and screens galore to ensure an exceptional viewing experience. So gather your friends, don your team jerseys, and head over to this sports haven for an unforgettable time. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit, ready to cheer on my favorite team and bask in the lively...

The staff here were very rude and unwelcoming to my friends and I. We wanted to play pool and we were just having a look at the pool table to see how it works and if it was coin operated. There was no one at the table but there were pool sticks that were left on top. We didn’t even touch anything and we were gonna go sit down first and grab some drinks, and then one of the staff members approached us and told us in a very rude manner that he was still playing and “to let him finish his game first”’ Since when would a staff member prioritise their own leisure at their own work place where they are meant to be serving customers? It was a busy Thursday night and they were more worried about finishing their pool game instead of serving customers. Then another staff member came up to finish their game and nearly hit my friend with the pool stick as she was sitting behind him. He didn’t even bother saying sorry or excuse me. He turned around, saw her and said “oh” and continued playing. We had to move ourselves to another table to avoid being hit in the head because he clearly didn’t care if we were in his way. As if that wasn’t off-putting enough, another staff member came up to us at our table and told us in an extremely condescending tone that we had to put coins onto the table to reserve it. She spoke to us as if we were 5 year olds and made us feel stupid for not knowing “that’s how it works”. Funnily enough, no other customers throughout the night “put coins on the table to reserve it”, and simply asked and waited for their turn. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 10+ years and could never imagine treating my customers so rudely. Learn to put your customers first or don’t work in customer...
