Kustom Burgers Thornbury — Restaurant in Melbourne

1st time there and definitely won't be going back. When i ordered my meal, the cashier waitress asked me if I wanted beef on my chilli con carne chips. I said yes. It came out and had beans and beef. I asked an older Waitress (very rude) who insisted that the cashier never asked me that because it is a vegetarian meal, to which my friend said that the cashier waitress did ask if I wanted beef or beans . A male waiter came out who was polite and I explained the situation to him. He told me that the menu had changed and that beef was now included in the Chilli con carne. This older Waitress trying to look young never even bothered to come back and apologise. Also the burgers don't look anything like the pictures posted on their website. If you have a menu with Hubcap chips, then it would be nice to be served in a hubcap not a plastic bowl or they are just normal chips. They give the burgers all these fancy names yet they are just normal greasy burgers and don't get me started on the beers. Unfortunately I found everything I ordered immensely underwhelming.

My chicken burger was the size of 2 small nuggets so I essentially ate a cabbage filled bun. No mention of coriander in the slaw so that also added to my disappointment as I’m not a coriander lover. But had the chicken been big enough I could look past this.

The cheesecake was covered in cinnamon which is another flavour I am not a fan of, the listing said vanilla with Belgian chocolate (see screenshot). And was accompanied with a teaspoon sized side of canned spray cream. C’mon guys, for $10.50 you could use real cream or give enough cream to enjoy with the dessert.

My partner and his friends were all saying similar things about their orders (cheesesteaks were all mushroom and hardly any meat) and overall we were disappointed with what we received.

The only positive is that the chips were cooked well.

I visited Kustom Burgers with my boyfriend after our favourite burger place was closed. We were waiting in line, him behind me, and after I ordered my burger someone blatantly pushed infront of him. The person at the counter served them without batting an eye. We got over it, and he ordered his burger with jalapeños. After a long wait, they called out BOTH our names wrong and we had to double check that they were the right burgers. We went and sat down, and my boyfriends burger didn't even have jalapeños! When we were about to leave, a blonde frizzy haired woman who worked there rudely said to us 'maybe you should pick up your rubbish mate!'. That's HER job. When we got picked up, we told my mum about our experience, and she was so mad that she went back and complained. The same blonde woman who called out to us humiliated my mum by calling her out to the ENTIRE store telling them that she was complaining.
