After the passing of my nonna this last week, my family tried to find resolute and connect with our culture by attending the local Italian restaurant. However, attending la burrata you will not find any ounce of Italian. The food is mediocre, the service poor, and the lighting temperamental. In essence, the restaurant simply made a mockery of my culture.to start the service was terrible, 5 people seated on a 4 seating table, recipe for disaster like I didn’t even have cuttlery.we asked for a Coke Zero for the young one but we got classic how on earth do you stuff that up!! Next when it came time for dessert we were given 2 types of spoons, dessert spoon and soup like what how hard is it to have the same spoon honestly. And then they all kept coming over with wrong stuff and all the wrong things like your running a place of business this is not how you get loyal customers! Then the food what we all go to honor our nonnna, but Nonna god rest her soul wouldn’t add 14 dollar burata to a margarita pizza. The food was Alright and the sticky date pudding was good with a good amount of butterscotch sauce but the Hawaiian pizza, it tasted cheap (it wasn’t cheap that’s for sure) and it was just average. And then to sum things up they had terrible music playing and it wasn’t even loud it was a mummer so it was just annoying I had a terrible headache from it I wonder if it was nonna telling me to join her.to sum things up la burata is not the restaurant you want to go to if you feel like Italian highly would not recommended unless you want 115 charges of assault to...
Read moreWe wanted to try this place as we saw the great reviews. The restaurant is hidden in a tiny street with limited parking around, the decor and venue was very nice and modern.
I want to firstly start by giving Regina our waitress a shoutout for working extremely hard on a busy Saturday night and just giving her absolute best. The two ladies who were working on Saturday night did an amazing job with a full house, we could tell they were extremely over stretched/understaffed.
We were a group of 4 and had ordered 3 drinks, 1 pizza and 4 pastas. The drinks took some time to get to us but we acknowledge that was because of the staff shortage.
Our food took over an hour to arrive and when they did it was quite bland which was unfortunate. The Salsiccia pizza and prawn linguine were good but the seafood marinara pasta and rigatoni bolognese was pretty bland.
We observed the 2 female servers were running around the restaurant doing everything and there was male employee (maybe the manager) who just stood and wiped wine glasses when there went plenty of cups to be washed, tables to be cleared and orders to take. It made me feel really bad for the two girls who were working...

Overall: as much as I dislike leaving a negative review, I cannot understand why this place is so well rated, perhaps we didn’t order the right items.
Came here on Sunday for an early dinner (before 6pm) and the restaurant was understandably pretty quiet but there seemed to be quite a few takeaway orders and we were expecting some great pizzas but they were really underwhelming.
What we ordered: 🍕 Capricciosa (1.5/5) 🍕 Funghi (1/5)
Where do I start… the crust was not great, it was inconsistent, the base was thin as a paper, and the dough didn’t have much flavour to it, some parts were thicker and got a bit more of a chew to it, some parts were thin and crispy. Onto the toppings, they weren’t even spread out evenly, and the cheese and toppings fell off pretty easily. The flavours were pretty bland as well, and lacked depth. There was just nothing great about either of the pizzas. Honestly, I’ve had better pizzas from the freezer or from Pizza Hut.
Definitely would not be back, worst...
