Bought a Groupon voucher a couple of months back for this cafe and it's been a nightmare trying to use the voucher. The voucher states that you have to make a booking for this place on weekends, only allowed to use the voucher before 11am on weekends AND you have to make the booking weeks before the voucher expired.
Not sure why there are so many restrictions and when I called up to try and make a booking, was told that it's all full on weekends for weeks ahead. I was then told I could just walk in during the week without making a booking, show the voucher and it'll be all good.
Sounds easy enough right? No not really. I had a day off work with my wife and decided to head down to Richmond to try and redeem the voucher for our meals and lo and behold, was told we couldn't use it even though the cafe was LITERALLY empty on that Tuesday morning when we got there.
We were made to explain that we called up before and that we were told to come in without a booking. The waitress serving us was VERY patient with us but had to go ask "management" if we could use the voucher. In the end, they relented and let us sit down and had our meals.
The food was actually quite good and coffee was decent but the experience has marred my impression of Three One 2 One.
Why have a groupon offer and then make it so hard for people to actually use the voucher? I would have happily paid full price if I need I was made to feel like a cheapskate who was trying to take advantage of cheap food via a voucher.
Not worth the effort trying to deal with them again BUT again I have to stress that the waitress serving us was VERY nice and kept apologizing for making us feel like we weren't welcome. Kept telling us she was just a messenger from "management" and she was just telling us what...

I had their 'Bulk' which looked more like a 'Hulk'! - Matcha bun, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, beef patty with cheese, bacon, avocado dip, corn chips and liquid cheese on too. It was epic, and I thought it was going to be style over substance but the burger tasted pretty darn good. I ate this very quickly. In the end, I look for a juicy patty, soft bun, and this one had extra fun.
The milkshakes are unapologetically excessive. They are designed to shock you and indeed they did.
This place is cosy but fits a lot of people. The service was very friendly and I noticed the staff being equally friendly to everyone. We went on a Tuesday night, and it was vibrant.
Crazy but tasty burgers, outta this world milkshakes. A lot of fun....
Read moreWow. Not sure what's happened to this place, but it's certainly not anything like it used to be.
The beef tastes like budget supermarket mince with no flavour, and the patty just crumbles like grandpa's overcooked rissoles.
The chicken burger had zero texture and even less flavour... I'm pretty sure it was a frozen chicken fillet.
The $17 cookie dough milkshake tasted nothing like cookie dough, which didn't even matter as 1/4 of the way through it I realised it contains nuts, and I have a nut allergy...the menu didn't mention any nuts.
The only reason I didn't give a 1 star rating is because the food looked pretty impressive...but that's honestly the only positive thing I can say about it. Sorry guys but I...
