Lemon Middle & Orange — Restaurant in Melbourne

LMO has been closed for few months after a less than stellar year under new management. Hopefully though, we'll soon see it restored to its former glory!

"UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT LEMON MIDDLE AND ORANGE

LM&0 started as an architectural and gastronomic experiment in early October 2013 and it has become throughout the years, a milestone at the industrial soul at Collingwood. It has been feeding hungry Melburnians with its lovingly made tood and waking them up with its coffee aroma over three years.

This little gem has gone through a not so bright year lately. Its distinctive yellow has become a flat black and white.

LM&0 deserves more that. We love good food, we love great coffee, we’d love to give back LM&0 its ‘soul'.

We will reopen soon with a new menu, a new coffee and the same distinctive character of this Collingwood gem."

I stayed two months in Melbourne and this was by far the best cafe that I found! It’s a great location, close to a wonderful park. Near CBD but not touristy like many places I found. It’s perfect for getting work done, having a business meeting, or taking an insta pic of your latte. Or all of the above!

They have options for every kind of diet for lunch and breakfast. Great vegan options! I don’t hesitate to say the coffee was the best I had whilst in Melb! And they have pretty much every nut milk you could want! Plus Friendly and talented baristas.

And lastly one of my favorite parts about this place is the owner! He truly knows how to run a business. He is always chatting with customers, remembering names and making sure everyone is happy. I can’t wait to come back...

Old review: I come here nearly every day, and collingwood has so many cafes to choose from, but for me this is the place. I always come for the chilli scramble, absolute perfection. The chilli sauce has the umami and mild kick and the egg cooked to perfection (puffy and moist). Mind you the sauce has eggplant slices that really elevates the whole dish - must try!

I do ask one less slice of bread to watch my carb intake, so you’ll actually get two lovely sourdough (so good). Coffee is divine and the baristas know the perfect grind size and extraction. Recommend to all to have as their daily spot if nearby or...
