Perfect place to go for a light lunch and a good coffee (they use Bonsoy 👍). Chilled out atmosphere in a sunny location in Footscray with indoor and outdoor areas. This cafe delivers a relaxing Sunday vibe with friendly staff and great service. Our coffees and food arrived quickly (we were there from 1pm onwards on a Sunday). Well priced food, a bit on the small side in the portioning but that's reflected in the price. Would recommend the house special mushroom arancini which were perfectly crunchy and coupled perfectly with tomato and fennel. Would also recommend the avocado smash with eggs as a larger lunch and just as delicious - cafe classic. Good selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options on the menu. There's a full cabinet of sandwiches, wraps and cakes which also look delicious. Very accessible with adequate 4P street parking and close proximity to a train station. The place was clean and the bathrooms were nice and wheelchair accessible. My partner and I really enjoyed our lunch here and we were pleasantly surprised with the bill. Great place, would dine here again. Deserves 5 stars for sure.

Nice panini just slow to receive. It took about 20 -25 minutes to make this take away and this was confirmed by checking the time of purchased. Grateful to the barista who asked how long I had been waiting. The ambience seemed nice and it looked like they were adequately staffed with 5 front of house roughly and 5 seen back of staff. Not sure if the person who served me forgot to tell kitchen but it did talk away all of my break from my paid class plus more time, as i had people waiting. I just wished I could have been told by FOH staff about the break as I could have at least done others things and then come back. I would only come back if I had a lot of time to kill as the pace seems generally a slower pace. Would not come back for a take away for work as being a front line healthcare worker 30 minutes is my whole break. Having a look around the front of staff did seem a bit distracted, with one staff member chatting to one family of customers for about 15 minutes. Nice food and coffee but probably as stated would not return.

Went in without a booking for 2 people on a Saturday around 10:30ish. It was busy but not to the point we couldn’t get a table or to the point of walk ins having to be turned away. There was a fair bit of a wait on food, but the coffees came very quick. The coffee is great - I got an oat cappuccino and it was just the right amount of strength. For food we ordered avo toast with a side of feta, and respectively, a side of smoked salmon and spinach; and a side of chorizo. We also ordered some fries to share. Overall, it tasted great. Generous serving size though just a single toast of bread. Poached eggs to perfection, and avos super fresh. It was super filling and hit the spot. Though it took some time for the food to come out, service was still good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would probably come back for another coffee. They’re a good regular spot to come to if you live around the area. I also hear the coffee lines are out the door during the work week! Must say something about the coffee.

If you're looking for a cozy and inviting cafe where you can enjoy some quality time with your family while sipping on some of the best coffee and savoring some mouth-watering food, look no further than "Footscray Milking Station"! We call “FMS”

Located in the heart of the Footscray, this cafe is a hidden gem that offers an exceptional dining experience. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with plenty of comfortable seating options to choose from. You'll find yourself immediately at home as soon as you walk through the doors.

The coffee at FMS is simply outstanding. My everyday go getter. They use only the finest beans, and their skilled baristas know how to extract the perfect flavour from each cup. Whether you prefer a classic espresso or a latte or mocha, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds here. The menu also includes a wide range of teas and other beverages, so there's something for everyone.

But it's not just the coffee that makes FMS so special - the food is equally amazing. The menu is full of delicious options, including my fav avocado toast. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and the portions are generous. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a decadent dessert, you'll find it here.

But perhaps the best thing about FMS is how family-friendly it is. The staff are warm and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome.

Overall, if you're looking for a cafe where you can enjoy some of the BEST COFFEE and food around while spending quality time with your family, FOOTSCRAY milking station is the place to be. Highly...

Horrible experience at Footscray Milking station. I ordered a meal however had forgotten request gluten free bread, I kindly and apologetically asked if I could swap for gluten free bread and didn't mind if all they did was toast the gluten bread and just place original toppings on top. The waitress said this was ok and I am grateful. Waitress returned to advise me that their was only 1 slice of gluten bread left. Plate arrives and I have the butt end of the bread (1/3 size of my friends bread, so small). The awful service I received after this was appalling. When I questioned waitress "why I would pay $17 for a meal that was lacking the main filler, the bread" I had a group of 3 waitresses group up and advise me that:

We have already wasted 2 sourdough breads on you. Advised to just eat your meal and we will deal with it. Which followed by them snickering behind counter makin my experience uncomfortable. One waitress advised me that they Will minus coffee charge I ordered and than this was revoked as I had wasted their bread. We close in 30min and that is why we have no bread, I understand however advised me that I was going to receive such a small size, offer a solution? Than followed by mopping floor before closing time at 3pm. No changes can be made due to the register set up.

I advised them I am not a person that complains, I love my cafe experiences however the young girls that work here lack customer service skills and empathy. Thank you to Seddon deadly sins down the road who provided...
