We attended the dawn service along with hundreds of locals. Beautifully read ceremony by the President of the RSL and the Reverend. It was our first time attending one, and we found it emotional and informative. The torch was lit, and the wreaths were laid by all members of the community, covering many organisations, military and local, which was lovely to see. We were impressed with the number of young people that were there. Beautiful way to celebrate our first, of hopefully many, Anzac days. Knocks the socks off the events we've attended in the UK in the past.

Service on a saturday night is slow, wait staff attended to needs prompty but kitchen staff took its time pushing out dishes. I witnessed wait staff arguing with kitchen staff. I ordered a bottle of wine and almost finished it by the time food came. The food was piping hot and cooked quite well however I have to ask myself is it worth waiting an hour and half for? Prehap not. I also reassured staff for the food to be gluten free. They later offered garlic bread as an apology... that is all.

We’ve been living in this area for about 6 months, but only realised this place was here tonight. We had a delicious mushroom soup and a minestrone soup (it was the night for soupsšŸ˜‰) + one of us also tried the pork. All meals were really excellent, tasty and gorgeously presented. The service was great too! The place was recently renovated and looks beautiful with a nice ambience. I would highly recommend this place to visit for both the food and the atmosphere experience.

Unfortunate experience here. I'm from Adelaide and was seeing my family in Melbourne who live nearby to this RSL. Was with my father and brother on an extremely humid day in Melbourne last year in November, I was rejected entry by what seemed to be a duty manager. I'm okay with that if I'm not meeting a dress code (I also had no idea an RSL even had a no tank top policy as I'd never been to one), but what I'm not okay with is the worker engaging with me in an inflammatory way. He was extremely rude (understatement) and bluntly told me I had to leave. I asked okay, where can I get a top as my luggage is in the City. Keep in mind I'm seeing my family I hadn't seen in 5 years... He proceeded to tell me "I dunno mate, do I look like a supermarket to you?" Extremely unprofessional. Not sure what his problem was, but I hinted that he needed to relax. His behaviour and attitude was laughable. Being a bigger person, I went off my own accord and purchased a regular top so I could enter, me and my elderly father and younger brother walked to a random shop along the beachside to get a top that was hardly as appropriate as the singlet I was wearing... This is not Hospitality service, I know such because I work in it full-time. My honest feeling was I wish I hadn't spent an ounce of my time in this place. Whoever the manger is, review your front of house worker's conduct. I won't stoop as low to describe this guy by appearance to identify him, but he thought he was the main character, when in actual fact he wasn't close to being "that guy". Luckily your other servers who seemed less dissatisfied with their occupation were very good and polite. They redeemed my experience a little bit. My Melbournian family were very disappointed when I explained this is what I experienced as soon as I set foot...

I’ve not been here for about two years. I love the updated interior, it’s modern, welcoming & well designed. I was with my grandmother. She attended a few weeks ago for lunch with her sister. For the second time in a row her medium steak had to be asked to be grilled for a little longer. This was done, thank you. Unfortunately she gave it to me to finish (I love a bit of redness) as she started choking on some gristle and was turned off for the last time. I left a chunk on the plate that when squeezed, oozed blood. It might have only been this piece and if so I guess consistency is key.

I had the Parma. (I might be a Queenslander but I will never call a Parma a ā€œparmiā€. Chicken coating was seasoned beautifully. The sauce on top was a bit bland. The whole topping was sliding around the chicken which made it hard to grab it properly to cut, all in all it was edible.

When we went to pay. I tried to explain to the girl that I was down from Brisbane. I had been looking for someone to reinstate my membership but apparently they had ā€œgone home for the dayā€ and I wouldn’t be getting a members bill, instead a full priced bill. A little annoying.

Compliments again on the floor plan and design. Best aspect of tonight’s...

I ordered the most expensive item on the menu, lamb shanks. I’m was happily eating them, not paying too much attention, when I put a fridge cold bite of un rendered fat in my mouth. To say I was surprised, was an understatement. The taste, horrendous…

Anyhow, I ask the management to charge me what they think my meal was worth, I also was eating with my ten year old daughter, so wasn’t looking for a massive scene, I was thinking zero, but they still charged me for the edible food served.

I however, got home, and have spent the entire night in the toilet, and have a disgusting taste in my mouth. I have still parted with my money for this experience, and still had no dinner…

Avoid this place, it’s not like lamb shanks at $38 a plate are hard to cook. Do all places cook them and then put in the fridge? Clearly microwaved.

I’ll tell 200 people about this experience, all locals, people from school, clients, business people, anyone that values there healthy eating.

My partner suggested, because I was so sick, I should write to them, well they still charged me, and now I’m writing a...
