Read moreAfter sitting outside for 20 minutes awaiting service I went in to ask menus, when we deciding on our order we still hadn’t received water, when going in to order instead of table service which I am unaware if that is a thing outside, when approaching bar and ordering food the same waitress who gave me the menus told me I couldn’t order from that menu now and I was thrown a new menu, after then returning outside to decide on another option I went back in side to order from the limited menu for the waitress to come acrossed as stressed, agitated and damn right rude she kept snapping at me and was trying to rush my order she then got annoyed that I didn’t know my other half’s steak preference when asking for a bottle of cab sav, she said we don’t have it I said I hadn’t even told her what one yet and she repeated no we don’t have it, then when I asked for the house she snapped saying she didn’t have it either, I then just purchased the steaks, the bar man then said I looked angry, I then explained I was annoyed at the terrible service he then said he’d be outside to discuss it when he gets a second, then the waitress comes out and asks what seems to be the problem, having been in hospitality for 8 years I thrive on good service I explained how I had been pushed aside, ignored and how rude she had been, she was shocked to hear what I had to say, but I only was honest and tried to tell her to take a step back and consider how she was speaking to customers after ranting for ten minutes and being belittled every time I said something she agreed to give us a bottle of wine for the same price, the Bar man still hadn’t came over for that chat, when our steaks came out orders were both wrong and over cooked, I called the waitress back over who then gave me the finger for me to wait, then didn’t return, I’ve never received such poor service before in my life and the whole customer is always right was not the case in this as she was adimate that none of what I said was true, i won’t be returning here...
Read moreHi, my family and I have usually always very good experiences with businesses accepting Entertainment vouchers when we go out to eat. Unfortunately this was not the case this evening when we dined at the "Big Mouth" restaurant in St. Kilda.
The service was good and atmosphere was pleasant enough. The food came out quickly which was good as we had small children who were very hungry and it was mostly pretty good. On a side note though, the veggie burgers were rubbish to be honest. A thick glob of goop that was undercooked and more akin to eating a 2 inch thick piece of rubber.
Anyway, the voucher was for one complimentary main meal when another of equal or lesser value was purchased. My wife paid the bill but accidentally forgot to hand over the voucher at the check out and when we discovered the error...the manager (Rick was his name) absolutely refused to do anything about it. He would not refund the bill onto our card and then re-process with the discount, nor would he give us $19 (the equivalent of what the voucher would have saved us). In fact, he copped a bit of an attitude. We had made a special trip there to use the voucher.
It really ruined what was an average meal and we'll NEVER be dining there ever again...especially considering there are so many other venues more deserving, voucher...
