.I want to take a moment to write about an extraordinary woman who absolutely blew me away with her professionalism, warmth, and pure talent — Molly. From the moment she approached our table, it was clear she wasn’t just “doing a job” — she was giving her heart, her energy, and her full attention to every person she served.
My sister and I were celebrating our 22nd birthday with almost 30 guests, and Molly handled it like a complete superstar. She didn’t just take orders — she remembered details, anticipated needs before we even asked, and did it all with a genuine smile that made everyone feel special. The way she balanced speed, accuracy, and friendliness was remarkable. At times, it felt like she was doing the work of three people — and yet, she never once looked flustered. Her multitasking skills were world-class, and her pace was unmatched.
Molly has that rare quality of making you feel like you’re the most important table in the room, even when the place is full. She’s calm under pressure, naturally outgoing, easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about giving her customers the best experience possible. She turned what could have been a chaotic night into one of the smoothest, happiest celebrations we could have imagined.
Our family and friends were all equally impressed, and many commented on how she completely elevated the night. I truly believe Molly has the skills, leadership, and heart to one day run her own restaurant — she has every quality a great manager or owner needs: confidence, vision, hospitality, and the ability to inspire trust and joy in everyone she serves.
Molly, thank you for making our night unforgettable. You are out of this world, and I have no doubt your career will take you far. I can only hope we cross paths again — maybe next time at a restaurant with your name on the door. 🙏🏽💕
If you’d like, I can also make a short, powerful “praise-packed” version that’s perfect for a Google or Facebook review while linking it to her potential to run her own place. Would you like me to prepare that? Very sorry if the game was Molly or Holly but thank...
Read moreI really wish I could give this place a higher rating, as the atmosphere was nice and the setting had a lot of potential for a good night out. Unfortunately, the service during my visit was disappointing and left something to be desired.
After placing a food order through the table service app, I waited an hour only to find out—when I went to ask—that my meal had supposedly already been delivered, even though I never received it. By then, it was around 9:25pm on a Friday night, and I was told the kitchen had already closed. This was surprising, especially since the app clearly stated that kitchen hours on Fridays and Saturdays were until 10pm, with no mention of early closures or a final call for orders.
To try and make up for it, I was kindly offered a glass of wine on the house, but since I’d been sharing a bottle with the table, I asked if a discount on the bottle could be offered instead. Unfortunately, that was declined. I did receive a cash being handed to me as a refund.
As cash was being handed to me, which is rather inconvenient as had paid by card through the app, I then decided to use the cash to purchase another bottle at the bar. Upon review of the charge I’ve noticed I’d been billed an extra fee not reflected in the pricing shown on the app, which was frustrating.
All in all, it just felt like a series of missteps that added up to a poor experience. I don’t doubt the staff meant well, but the execution let things down. I genuinely hoped to enjoy my visit more and rate it higher, but sadly I can’t give more than one star based on...

Hope everyone is safe and well! I just want to share the unfortunate episode that happened last Friday at @villagebelle in St Kilda. This place is the most racist place I have ever been! Long story short, I was dancing with my friend, and the security guard approached us and asked us to leave for no reason. He had been very rude to everyone the whole night and probably felt uncomfortable with our happiness. My friend has dark brown to black skin, and I’m not an example of a white girl either.
When I asked why we had to leave, he just said, "I had enough of both of you here. You two, out right now." When I said that wasn't fair and that if he wasn't happy to be there, he shouldn't be dealing with people, another security guard started to grab my friend, and the first guard grabbed my arm. I yelled that he couldn’t touch me, and as I pulled my arm down, he kept dragging me downstairs while I couldn't even see the steps.
It was the most unacceptable experience of my life! The manager of Village Belle did not do anything about it. I made a report and am still waiting, but I want to make sure that everyone knows how this place treats their customers with no respect and brutal aggression.
I reported this incident to the St Kilda police, and it is currently being processed. The way the security guard grabbed me was excessive and forceful for no reason. As we expected the cops did not do anything and not even...
