Did you know that St.Kilda was named after a sailing ship in 1842 by Governor La Trobe? Whoa what a night! This place is awesome. The service from Tom was exceptional, he was extremely attentive and so welcoming. This is Mediterranean inspired restuarant in the heart of St Kilda. My partner and I had a number of dishes, completely vegetarian/vegan except for my porterhouse steak dish, which was exceptional btw. We started with a cocktail each, being The Captain's Delight, a Margarita and a Malaga Sunset over dinner. The 3 cocktails were absolutel delicious, not overly sweet and soo moorish lol. We started with the multi seed Pita bread with Tahini, Tazatziki, Green Herb Spicy Sauce (skhug) and home-made pickles. OMGosh this was pita bread at another level. All of the food is made in house, including the pita, and I must say the hot pita was easily the best I've ever eaten. It was exceptional, and the dips and pickles were really fresh and soo tasty. The Lady's Bouquet was fried cauliflower w tahini and parsley. Such a simple sounding dish that blew my socks off, well almost haha! Yum. The Captain's Hummus with ex Mushrooms (vegan) made with Lima Beans, tahini, parsley, tomatoes and pita bread. This was another winning dish, the hummus was fantastic, and now I'm a lima bean convert lol. Everything was soo fresh. The Stracceti Porterhouse was juicy thin slices of steak, w parsley, garlic balsamic etc. Oh wow, the meat was so tender that it just melted in my mouth. This was an outstanding dish. Our Crazy Capreza salad was full of heirloom tomatoes bursting with flavour. These tomatoes tasted home grown they were that good. And the rest of the salad was super fresh. We shared a Sambousek. This is a pastry served with a cheese and vegetable filling, served with a garden salad. We tried The Empire which had mixed cheese, pesto and mushrooms. This dish was incredible, the pastry was fantastic, golden brown, soft and the filling just perfect. The Kunafe (Lebanese Dessert) was a winning dessert. It was served hot w vanilla ice cream and it wasn't sickly sweet. This is the best kunafe I've ever had. Full stop. Yes it was a night of big calls, but the service, cocktails and food was at another level. This place is a must visit, and definitely worth travelling for.

Great location and a nice place to grab a lunch as a group! The music was notably excellent, so I quite enjoyed the atmosphere, but in all fairness I found the cost of the chips (AU$5 for the little basket shown in the pic) to be pretty steep for what it was. The pitta burgers are really tasty, the shakshuka seemed fairly legitimate, the meat pizza (with added pineapple as requested) looked good but the weird "fritzza" wasn't something I would have ordered if you had begged me to. Why are there chips all over the margherita pizza? That was just bizarre. Drinks were generally hazy ales, but there were numerous black specks in the jug and in the glasses, apparently caused by washing the equipment in the same washing machine as the coffee equipment. The friendly staff offered to change the beers out for us, but we decided to carry on drinking them anyway since we knew it wasn't actually dirt, just coffee grounds. Overall a lovely experience and we will surely return!

If you havenโt tried Mediterranean cuisine I highly recommend this place for your first experience. First our server Aiden really knew the menu and did some really great recommendations. Her service was top notch every now and then she would check in on our table. The baked salmon was cook perfectly served on a bed of greens with an olive oil, lemon garlic dressing. The prawn dish which was a starter was actually a generous size and could be a main, it was serve with their in-house baked pita bread (they have a few flavours to choose from). My go to dessert in any Mediterranean or middle eastern restaurant is definitely the knafeh which is a pastry baked with a cheese and drizzled with syrup, theirs was really good without being sickeningly sweet. I wasnโt a fan of the malabi (milk pudding) as the Rosewater was too overpowering for my palate.

What an absolutely gem in the heart of st kilda. Came here for brunch on a weekday! The place has a great vibe to it. The tunes were right, service was lovely and the food was just divine!๐ Everything is made from scratch as we were told, and you can really taste the passion in the flavours and texture of each food. To pick a favourite would be wrong cause everything was just delicious! We got couple pitas and some dips from share section. So fluffy and delicious, itโs one of the best Iโve eaten and would def recommend! The juicy chicken aka Casablanca bazaar was just as described. Also had the sambousek which was equally delicious. The Knafeh was a happy ending! We left feeling very satisfied with our experience. Looking forward to coming back here to try more things!!๐

WHERE: St Kilda WHO: Lady of St Kilda WHAT: Cool and Quirky Mediterranean Restaurant We popped into Lady of St Kilda for dinner on a Tuesday before a show at the National Theatre. So glad we did! We loved the vibe, the cool artwork that surrounds you, the service and most of all the food! I would definitely recommend this place to others and the family has been asking to go back ever since our visit. We ordered Stracceti Burgers (1st was so good we re-orded), Gipsy Pomodoro, Meat Lovers Pizza, Lady's Bouquet (Fried Cauliflower yum!) to name a few dishes. We also ordered desserts and cocktails all were good:) Only drawback is the toilets are a steep walk upstairs so not great for anyone with mobility issues x

๐ฆ mediterranean lunch today ๐ : @theladyofstkilda ๐: 20 Barkly St, St Kilda ๐: From the moment we walked into this Mediterranean restaurant, we knew we were in for a culinary treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the smells of delicious dishes wafting through the air. โค๏ธ: We started our meal with the in ๐ San Remo pasta, a creamy pasta with truffle oil. Next up was the ๐ seafood pizza, and it did not disappoint. The ๐ฆ seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, went well with the sauce! It was like taking a trip to the seaside in every bite. Finally, we had the ๐ฅฉ eye fillet steak, and it was simply divine. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor.
