I arrived at this store when there were about 6 people waiting for their food and No one else waiting to order. I approached the register and ordered a strong almond latte.i was asked if I wanted an extra shot to make it strong. To help make informed decision, I asked how many shots does it already have? I was told normal amount for each coffee size. I don't blame the young lady who served me. She probably hasn't been asked this. If anything this indicated lack of training. She then asked the manager and the manager said small has one small shot, medium has in small shot and large has two small shots. I then asked for additional shot and almond milk. While trying to make the cover, the young lady realised that there was no coffee in the grinder or near it. It took here some 30 seconds to look around and asked the manager. The manager this is assigning the term manager generously, as a believe you have to manage to run a business before you can earn the title. She asked the manager "we are out of coffee", the manager then said give me tel secs. As is with for them to serve people who came after me the line started growing. I was waiting hoping one of them would realise that I was waiting, I can see the young lady looking at me feeling bad, but the so called manger didn't even care the fact that she had someone waiting. She continued to serve emerging clientele whike I wait, I then asked if I could just cancel the coffee seeing that they manager does not have the capability to be efficient. She didn't respond in words and just walked up to the cashier and gave me $4.50 when the amount I paid was $5.40. I said that the amount was not correct and only then did she ask for the receipt. Many people worked at McDonald's during high school as a transitional job to uni or even through uni. I used to hear that young people who had gained their McDonald's work experience are meant to be efficient and make for good employees. Today's experience had proven this to be a myth. Being a hiring manager in the financial industry, I don't think I would hire anyone simply because they have McDonald's work experience, not even for an...

With the McRibs out we thought we'd give them another try and make it easy: only order McRibs and maximum ONE other burger. It worked a couple of times until today, when we added two BBQ sauce packs (because they also excel at making the driest McRibs in the world).
So, as an example of trying to beat the order-challenged McDonalds (via DoorDash), we ordered 3 McRibs, 1 Quarter Pounder and 2 BBQ sauces (to put on to their dry McRibs). We received 1 McRib, 1 Quarter Pounder, 1 BBQ sauce.
I called 10mins later to explain how they really do seem to have a maximum attention span of 2 items/products, and the response was "we put it in 2 separate bags. The other bag is here if you want to come pick it up." She also tried to blame it on the driver and that they should come back and pick up the rest of the order that's allegedly been sitting there for ages, but also note, the receipt on the bag shows 1 McRib, 1 Qtr Pounder, 1 BBQ sauce. Of course, no apology.
You can't even simplify it for them. I wonder what would happen if you order 1 item? You get a leftover fry in the bag or empty wrapper?

Only ever order via Uber as it's the only McDonald's store available to Hawthorn...
Can be guaranteed something will be missing, flipped upside down, hanging out of its box/wrapper, half-filled, wrong $ modifications, no extra $ sauce, cold, poor quality and clearly a huge joke to whoever works there.
Recently had a two-week bug that can't be explained any other way (nothing else different in diet at the time) other than the late night food from this place. It's no wonder after reading all the reviews of this filthy place though.
I know it's McDonald's, but after 10pm there isn't much available and it's probably the one place in the world where you're supposed to expect a certain consistency (albeit lopsided or half-filled) that this store falls WAAAAY short of! AVOID AT...
Read moreWas looking for something fast to take away as I was in a hurry. Thought I would stop at McDonald's, ordered a double cheese burger, and 2 frozen cokes for my partner and I. Staff was friendly but not much interaction with customers. Found there was no real service system as you had to order from the machine. There was no real system as customers were waiting all over the restaurant. When I ordered, they hadntheb2 frozen cokes on the counter while waiting for the food. For a small order, it took about 15 minutes to get. In the meantime, the frozen cokes had defrosted from be8ng frozen to just liquid, which wasn't even half full as it became a frozen coke to just 1 quarter full of liquid coke. The number system was very unorganized as people who ordered before others seemed to get their orders faster and for a simple 2 burgers as I said took 15 minutes. Seemed like they needed more staff as only one person was at the counter. I found the restaurant to be a bit messy as there were trays and rubbish everywhere. I am not the sort of person to make negative comments, but I was very disappointed with...
