Miilk Cake Studio — Restaurant in Melbourne

Tldr: Miilk is a gem within the heart of the Melbourne CBD, with lovely staff and tasty cakes. Highly recommend giving it a try :D

This review is long overdue. My friends and I have been visiting Miilk for a few years now. What was meant to be a one-time experience has slowly become a staple of our nights out, and our outings do not feel complete without a trip to Miilk, where we share a brownie and open Pokémon cards. While I haven't tried everything Miilk has to offer, I have eaten their cakes, and let me tell you, they are AMAZING!! The cakes are soft and full of flavour, and the icing is fluffy and not overpowering. Like I could eat a mouthful of the icing and not feel sick. My personal favourites are chocolate seduction and coconut pandam; I highly recommend trying them. I've also ordered a custom cake for my friend's birthday, and let me tell you, they delivered, the little frog with the birthday had exceeded my expectations. The staff are all fantastic too. Although I haven't interacted with them much, they are all lovely, friendly to talk to and ready to help. I would like to personally shout out Minh and Trini. Minh is affectionately referred to as "our guy" amongst my friends, as our nights don't feel complete if we can't see him. He's always happy to strike up conversations with us. He is more than happy to indulge us in opening Pokémon cards together. Trini is, honestly, a ray of sunshine; she always smiles and greets us warmly, her cheerful presence making the whole experience in the store more pleasant...

Finally checked out this newly opened, popular, family owned dessert store and can confirm it’s definitely worth the hype! The family was soo friendly and sweet and very helpful in providing explanations and recommendations! We tried the:

My favourite was that melon soft serve, it’s part of their spring collection but I hope it’s here to stay forever because it’s that good! The jasmine flavour in the soft serve was really nice and balanced and the consistency of the soft serve was perfect. It was so refreshing with the melon balls and biscoff - such a great dessert perfect for the summer.

The dessert cake was great and we loved that fluffy ube sponge layered between the ube curd and cream. It wasn’t too sweet, the ube flavour wasn’t that strong and it was such a soft, light and airy cake.

The iced coffee had a very subtle pandan flavour- I was afraid it was going to be too overpowering and grainy like some other places but it turned out to be a nice little twist to your typical iced latte 😊

I’m usually not much of a sweets person but I legit demolished majority of this myself - that’s how much I loved it! 😂😅🤭 The flavours are inspired by the family’s South East Asian heritage, I love the variety of different desserts and flavours available, dining environment was very clean and the service was super nice - would recommend checking...
