Mr Squeeze South Yarra — Restaurant in Melbourne

My partner and I are obsessed with the açai from mr squeeze. We've moved away from Australia now sadly (if they fancy opening up a branch in the UK we’ll be straight there lol!) but still talk all the time about it and it's our benchmark for all açai bowls to beat (ie "nice but not at good as mr squeeze"). I love that you can choose between a mango base or a banana base and the toppings are always fresh and delicious. Granola is not vegan sadly but I don't need to try the granola to say the chocolate buckinis are better anyway!! My order is always the original (due to the amount and variety of fruit!) with a mango base, chocolate buckini clusters and add almond butter. Now I don't usually get $12 smoothies....but I daresay this is sort of worth it!

It's still very pricey (just the price of a lettuce!), but you can really taste the quality of the fruit in there.

We got the Tropicana and it was superrr tasty and refreshing! They fill the cup up to the brim too!

The smoothie is actually quite filling, so its definitely like half a meal already. It's a perfect drink for couples. We shared ours and it was the perfect amount, without feeling too bloated. A really great companion when strolling the streets of South Yarra. You'll fit right in with the yuppy activewear wearing locals!

Every smoothie can be made...

I've been coming here since the day it opened , had gone through 6 loyalty cards, and it has been good till the last 2 weeks. First of all the change to a flat lid as suppose to the dome for the smoothe was a let down. 2nd the smoothe was inconsistent I can barely sip it as it was too thick. I threw it away after the 4th sip as my jaw was starting to hurt. I can tell something was not right when they keep shaking the jug and it won't budge. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to go back as I had to head to work. It's not a cheap drink but happy to pay if it's what I ordered. Please train your staff to maintain quality and consistency. For now I might try a new one that just opened...
