This bad review is in regard to the lack of organisation Ms Frankie’s had with their admin and communication. The lack of communication initially started when I was talking to different people via email. I found myself having to repeat information and getting told stuff such as changing my start time of my birthday dinner to 30 mins earlier to what we initially agreed with. Thus, this concerned me as if I didn’t reach out I’m not sure if I would have even found out the start time they had me down for until a few days prior.

The night of Ms Frankie’s was good!! the food was great, our head server was very accomodating and everyone seems to have a good time.

Now, when it got to the payment (keep in mind I had paid EVERYTHING except drinks prior to the event). When the bill was presented everything we had paid prior had been charged again (Being over charger over $1000 dollars). My mum told the owner/ manager that we have already paid for this and was very stern that this was the bill and that was final.

Look my mum could have gotten me and I would have provided an invoice however the way she did speak to my mum made her pay under the pressure, which is no way a manger should be speaking to customers. You would think though, being a manger you would ask for an initial invoice since payments prior to the event would be a common occurrence ???

Once proven we had paid for everything except drinks she did apologise to my family which I appreciate, but we couldn’t get answers to the refund till Sunday which was only fast tracked because we came back in.

Now why make people pay prior to the event if this information when you have paid isn’t forwarded to staff on the night??? Why tell customers we have to pay prior when we could have paid everything on the night ?? Cause I would have just done that!

Also I got charged a cake fee prior to the event for staff to cut my cake. Then tell me why I got given the knife and have to tell the server I had paid for a cake fee ??? I would have gladly saved my money and done it myself but we didn’t really get a choice when planning.

It’s a real shame what happened the night of my 21st, I do warn others before planning an event like this at Ms Frankie’s as I don’t want the same thing to happen to u. Because of what happened I will not be back to this restaurant and won’t be recommend it to any...

Wow Ms.Frankie where do I start? some friends came from the USA and I wanted them to experience rustic but modern/awesome Italian regional food. I also wamted an elegant and ambient setting. Ms Frankis had become a go to when people come from overseas but now a local go to for myself and my bestie. A lovely espresso martini at the bar went down so well to start the night. Then we sat down to an antipasto sharing plate wirh generous and tastey moresals. Prosciutto, crochettes to die for, grilled and pickled veggies, arancini, cheeses galore olives and homestyle ciabatta bread. This was huge for a really good price. The mains were out of this world. My stracciatella pizza (on the menu i think it is called Sex on The Beach) with hidden sweetness via amaretti biscotto and glazed peaches! Are you kidding me? This was just so good. JUST WOW! my friends had tortelloni in a butter sage sauce and a which was delicate and so good. My friend could t go past the tortelloni but he wanted the bolognese sauce and the chef ki dly obloged. My bestie had the pizza with prosciutto and mozzarella di bufalo. A little extra drizzle of home made chilli oil and we were all set. THE VIBE: ambient elegant yet cozy. Very unique and inviting. SERVICE: Our Sardinian Waiter was delightful. Friendly, smiling, fun and very informative. He was always around at the right time. He knew his stuff - definately a keeper. The FOOD: outstanding. Modern inovative presentation but everythIng tasted as if Nonna was cooking in the kitchen. Generous portions. PRICE: Well worth evert cent of each generous portion. Well priced for what you get. OVERALL experience: inviting, relaxed, cozy, funky modern yet somehow old world vibe. Heaps of kitchen and floor staff and the friendliest nicest bar staff. I love this place. We will be back. You must try the stracciatella pizza with the amaretti biscotto....

For the last 2 and a bit years, my friend B. and I have been making a point of catching up every month and trying somewhere new to eat. January 2025 was Ms Frankie’s turn. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were huge! We probably could have been quite content with the Sicilian Street Food Board alone, but of course we underestimated the size of the board and over estimated our appetites. B. had the gnocchi, which was delicious. I had the veal cotoletta with roasted potatoes. Huge portions. Beautifully cooked. If I had to make a suggestion, I would say a sauce would have been a nice addition to give the food some extra slide. But flavour was on point! Atmosphere was great, although we got the back corner, which felt a little too dark and naughty corner-ish for 2 friends catching up. Probably a position more suited for a date night. That said we asked the amazing waiter if he could please turn up the lights a little so we could see and he was brilliant at catering to us, without blinding everyone else in the establishment. Let’s talk about service- if you like being over-serviced, Ms Frankie is for you. The service was extremely friendly, excellent recommendations for meals and you never feel like you are inconveniencing someone. Essentially as non-drinkers, we thought we’d try a cocktail (cos why not??). Key take-away- You MUST try Ms Frankie’s “Strawberry...

Having walked past this new restaurant a few times I noticed that the old institution Thresherman has been transformed into a modern Italian eatery, so I decided to bring along a few friends to check it out. The venue is tastefully designed and the staff is friendly. We were first seated at a table right across their door which was a bit cold every time when the door opened and the cold draft blew in, so we asked if we could move to another table that is away from the door, and they happily assisted us to. The food was very good; the antipasto was high quality, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. Our waitress M. started out friendly, but then we felt that she became more and more pushy, trying to upsell us alcohol and food all the time. It was borderline rude when she took all our plates away even while we were still eating, and she stood right by our table waiting for us to finish the last bite of our dessert so she can clean up the table while we are still drinking and chatting. We believe and hope not all the waiters are like that because it’s a real turn-off in terns of customer service; thus the 3 stars instead of 4. Overall it was slightly pricey but not excessively expensive and it is certainly worth a visit.
