Ordered a vegemite s/w for my grandson, which ended up being the small ends of a sourdough loaf. it was toasted, but was meant to be a sandwich. No marg/butter, but thick lashing of vegemite, after I said a small amount. My daughter ordered focaccia with bacon and egg. The focaccia wasn't toasted, the egg was not cooked. The only good thing was the bacon . I ordered French toast with walnuts, banana, maple syrup. Well depending on what you perceive what french toast is, as far as know, it is dipped in eggy milk and cooked accordingly. The french toast I had was lightly buttered with a drizzling of maple syrup, dusting of cinnamon, cut up banana on the side, sprinkling of walnuts and a garnishing of alfalfa sprouts. My two friends ordered ham, cheese and tomato toasties. I think that the cafe does not own a sandwich toaster it was just toasted s/w with filling. Read moreMy wife and l were feeling quite frustrated as we drove up and down Church St on a 30° day looking for a car park spot... finally found one in a side street.
Walked around the corner, exhausted, after all the effort and saw this smallish cafe with free seats available so MYLK Cafe it was for lunch.
We were welcomed by a young fella with such a warm and engaging smile who then told us about the daily specials as well as some other dishes that we queried.
This chap was so helpful and my wife and l were well on the way to forgetting the torture of driving and parking in Brighton(!).
We had a most enjoyable and very filling Toasted Salmon Focacchia together with a really nice 3-Egg Omelette.
