Laurent is Melbourne's is an absolutely outstanding and devine Bakery which provides the most delicious and amazing birthday cakes. I selected the Rubis cake for my birthday dinner last week and ALL our devine group of guests were so delighted with the quality and unique taste (which was light and a refreshing change from any birthday cake I have had in all my life).

And it was presented so beautifully, which was sensational and so beautiful to look at. Therefore, I will treasure the splendid memories for the rest of my life.

And I know my friends will forever also remember this unique birthday cake, because they have been raving about it since my birthday dinner party.

Bless the owner Laurant who is located in Melbourne for creating such a small successful empire providing the highest quality services with an exemplary service by their professional staff which is a credit to all who work on the team. A wonderful blessing for all who live in Bayside Melbourne and are able to enjoy their magnificent range of cakes and foods.

I love going into this Bakery and the display of cakes and croissants always tempts me. I have always been happy here with every purchase until last week. The $55 birthday cake was not fresh the macaroons were soft and I believe it was a 2-3 day old cake. The rude women on the phone told me - no refunds - she was abrupt - you need to bring it back. I returned with the cake but the staff didn't know anything about it and there were no cakes left as it was the afternoon. I went back the next day and the rude lady who I spoke to on the phone was there. (I recognised her voice) She made a big scene and grudgingly said out loud addressing to the queue, you better like this one as she will not change and do I understand!! She argued the cake was fresh - when it wasn't. I was humiliated. This was absolutely unnecessary behaviour. I think this lady urgently needs to learn her demographic and some manners. I spent $75 in this transaction in the shop and didn't deserve to be treated in this way. This has put me off returning to Laurent. This is certainly not how you treat loyal customers who support local business...

To Nun and all the girls and guys at this warm, cosy environment. We have been visiting this cafe since it first opened. We have made some lovely friends to chat to over coffee or across the room.

The only time we don't stop for a morning coffee or lunch is when we are travelling but as soon as we arrive back in Melbourne if possible we stop for a quick hello, coffee and a treat before we head home to rest.

Some of the staff members change from time to time but as far as we are concerned they are all the brightest, sweetest, caring and efficient young people you could ever want to meet. They make our day bright and special.

The coffee is great and the bread/savouries/cakes/croissants are all mouth wateringly delicious. Thank you Guys Long Live Our French Bakery Laurent's in Church...
