No 1 Iron Pot Stew is a north eastern Chinese restaurant that specialises in large stew pot dishes. The pots are designed to be shared between 4+ people and they offer a range of dishes too. We had the iron pot stewed pork ribs, where the meat is pre-cooked and subsequently stewed again at your table along with the vegetables etc. The pot was really tasty and meat fell off the bone. The vegetables also absorb a lot of flavours from the sauce, which took them to the next level. The crepe like bread was a perfect pairing as it also absorbs the sauce. The Stewed Chicken with Mushrooms was rich, flavorful, and the portion size was huge—perfect for sharing. The Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork) was crispy, tender, and perfectly balanced.

We also loved the Guo Chu Liu, a creative twist with a hint of corn sweetness and crispy edges—absolutely addictive!
