I had the most wonderful experience at this Ukrainian restaurant in Melbourne! From start to finish, everything was perfect- the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service. We started with a plate of varenyky- all beautifully presented with fresh dill and a creamy dipping sauce. Then came the borscht, rich and full of flavour, paired with a warm garlic pampushka bread that made it irresistible. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the crepes with sweet cherry filling, which were the perfect ending to the meal. A special shoutout to our waiter, Nikita, who was absolutely amazing. He was attentive without being intrusive, knew the menu inside out, and made great recommendations. His warm and friendly manner really made the evening feel special, and it’s rare to find service this genuine and thoughtful. Nikita is young, but extremely hardworking and kind gentleman, thank you for your service Nikita! The restaurant itself has such a cozy yet lively atmosphere: traditional touches, beautiful plating, and a feeling that you’ve stepped into a piece of Ukraine in the heart of Melbourne. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a true taste of Ukrainian hospitality...

I ended up grabbing takeout since it was my last night in Melbourne and I’d just discovered this place (not really a takeout restaurant, but they did me a solid). I was so happy they were able to accommodate me! I had the trio of dumplings and the beetroot salad—both excellent options! I definitely would’ve preferred to dine in, but I was stopping by on my way back to city center from the Penguin Parade. The prices were fair, the quality and volume of food fit the pricing, and the food was delicious! I would’ve loved some sort of bread to have with the beet salad, but the flavors themselves were tasty—a mix of herring, potato, beets, and a few other ingredients. Yum!

The dumplings were such a great variety too. I loved the salmon ones especially—very creative blend of flavors and textures with the roe, sour cream, and other flavors.

I definitely wish I could’ve experienced the restaurant fully, but regardless, the Melbourne food scene is definitely moving up in my book, thanks...

What an absolute gem in Melbourne! This Ukrainian restaurant instantly feels like home the moment you walk in – warm, cozy, and welcoming. The interior design is stunning, beautifully blending tradition with a modern touch, making it not just a place to eat but a place to enjoy and relax.

The food is simply outstanding – every dish is full of authentic flavour, cooked to perfection, and presented so beautifully (my favourite is holubtsi, chicken patte and triple crepes 😋). It truly tastes like home-cooked Ukrainian meals with so much love and attention to detail.

The service is also excellent – attentive, friendly, and making you feel like a valued guest. Together with the atmosphere, the presentation, and the incredible food, it’s an unforgettable dining experience.

Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try real Ukrainian cuisine in Melbourne – this place is a...

I was in Melbourne on a business trip. One day my wife suggested me to visit this restaurant (we're both of Ukrainian descent). I was completely amazed as soon as I walked through the restaurant door... The atmosphere was meticulously crafted, including the very friendly and polite staff, always dressed in traditional Ukrainian attire. Just two spoonfuls of the borsch brought a tear to my eye... Not to mention the varenichi, golubtsi, deruny, and many other quintessential Ukrainian specialties on the menu, prepared with great care and respect for tradition. Everywhere you look, you can feel Hanna's dream and her great desire to bring a piece of Ukraine to her heart in faraway Australia... You did it, Hanna... Congratulations indeed!
