Rolld never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavourful, and consistently top-notch (especially the lemon grass goi + crispy prawns on the side) but what really sets this place apart is the service. I have to give a special shoutout to Anju and Hana, who absolutely embody what great customer service should feel like.
These two know their regulars by name, remember little details, and genuinely go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. It’s not just a quick transaction, it’s the warm conversation, the rapport, and the care they show that keeps people coming back. You can tell theyre great at what they do, and it creates such a positive, upbeat vibe every time you walk in.
Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or grabbing something to take away, the team here makes the whole experience enjoyable. Rolld has that perfect balance of fresh food, friendly faces, and genuine hospitality. Huge thanks to Anju and Hana for always going the extra mile, they’re the heart of the place! (Thank you for taking care of me you cheeky girls!)
Highly recommend if you want great food paired with service that feels personal...

Young girl talking to a colleague while I waited - saw me and kept talking; no one else waiting, then when her colleague finished talking this girl decided to stack a couple of baskets before she sauntered over to NEAR where I waited at the counter. It seemed that my presence had annoyed her judging by the disdain with which she finally addressed me. She stood holding the cash register as if it were an anchor from which she could not (would not) move, despite that I was waiting about 2metres along the counter, to show her which Rice Paper rolls I wanted. I didn’t see her look directly at me through the whole transaction. Not only was she offhand and off putting, but the rolls were utterly tasteless! One tofu & veg, one garlic prawn roll … both void of any flavour and I’m guessing they were made the day before as the underneath where the rice paper wrap overlaps, was dry and so tough, the rest of it pulled apart in my fingers. The only thing that had any taste was the Hoisin sauce which was an extra. ...
Read moreI went into the Southland store and asked who I think was the Manager there as she was the only one wearing a blk t shirt. I proceeded just to ask her if the soup I ordered to eat in was in a plastic bowl or normal porcelain bowl. She was quite rude with her answers. As my order was ready for me to take my soup I said thank you as what most people say as a courtesy she didn’t say thank you but just grabbed my buzzer instead SO RUDE ..As I left the restaurant she actually looked at me in a disgusting manner like I was her worse enemy!!! I was going to say something but there was customers so I decided to walk away. To the owner of the business I suggest you teach your staff how to be polite and saying THANK YOU doesn’t cost anything. !!! I will tell my Family & Friends definitely not to go there as the service was APPALLING!!!Teach your staff to treat customers...
