A local friend brought us here for lunch. First impressions are that it has a nice rustic and vintage feel with lots of vintage decor plastering the walls.
When we walked in, we were kinda confused on how to order since no one greeted us or anything, in the end we sat at a random table and walked to the counter to place our orders.
We ordered a whole bird, Sonny Burgers and both the Load Em Up Fries and Guacamole Cheese Fries. And it took really long for our orders to arrive .
To start off with what I did not like, it was the Burger, the fried chicken meat was decent but the batter and meat lacked good flavour, all I could taste was overpowering one dimensional spiciness. I could not taste the egg mayo at all too.
Then we had the Load Em Up Fries that were basically gravy on fries. The gravy made the fries soft and mushy which I can see some people liking but it is not really my thing, though the gravy was quite flavourful. My favourite of the two we ordered was the Guacamole Cheese Fries, the taste of guac and the fries went quite well together but was not mind blowing.
Lastly, I ate some of the Fried Chicken, it was quite tender and juicy but as with the same complaints as the meat in the burger, the flavours were lacking.
All in all, this is a decent fried chicken place but I don’t think I would return to eat it again. I have eaten better...
Read moreFood is good and tasty 8/10 I would definitely go back again for the burgers! The fried chicken burger and the cheeseburger were really good, and the sauce that's on the loaded fries was delicious. They have lots of sides to pick from too so the options were fantastic. The table set up was very chic, and casual.
critique would be that the chips that came with the burgers were dry and they didn't have any dipping sauce. The loaded fries were good as they had sauce so it wasn't dry, the customer service was under average. The staff were nice though. You can't come through the front door, you have to go in through the side which was confusing and then order from the bar next door. It wasn't really clear where to order from when I got there. There was no sign that says order here or anything or kiosk to order from, the staff dont greet you at the door either. So I was standing around awkwardly for 10-15 mins trying to figure out how to order. Its also quite a loud place as it's right next to a bar. So unless you are there drinking it's not really worth it to eat in. Overall it was a confusing and a bit of a annoying experience, but the food...
Read moreThe worst customer service ever! Yesterday around 5:30pm, me and my friend decided to visit this place to have dinner because of the good reviews on Google. We walked in the door and thought someone will come forward to ask "table for two?" but it didn't happened so we helped ourselves to find an empty table and take a seat.
At that time, there was one waitress working and I'm pretty sure she saw us when we walked in but she ignored us. We sat down and after finished reading the menu, we waited a few minutes for the waitress to come and take our orders but she disappeared, my friend tried to find someone who were working at that time to take our orders but nobody around except the bartender, which he cannot leave the bar of course.
The kitchen crews were free and chit-chatting in the kitchen but they chose not to come out to serve us so we waited around 10 minutes and decided to leave for another place. This kind of unwelcoming customer service is not acceptable in hospitality industry. We NEVER going back...
