Absolutely terrible behaviour from the Managers within this establishment!
I ordered 4 subs to share amount my colleagues for ‘R U OK day’ and requested that they were cut into portions so we could share them.
After receiving the order I placed via their partner Menulog, I realising it was incorrect so I returned to the store on foot to have the order quickly emended.
To my surprise, the first manager told me that I would have to repurchase the items and then go back to Menulog for a refund. Not happy with this, I told the team member that it would make more sense just to remake the items as required. Which I was told no. I was then told by the next manager that they would not be able to use the subs already made so they would loose money, which I explained they could write off on waste (a normal practice within retail and hospitality). They denied me. I was told I was rude, that I spoke like a nasty person and they would not remake the order. They told me that’s what I ordered so that’s what I got. From there the manager proceeded to tell me to leave or they would call the police for trespassing and went to throw the order and my receipt in the bin. I told them to give me the receipt.
At this point I was absolutely shocked and horrified at how this person was talking to me and treating me. So attempted to contact the head office to make a formal complaint. I ended up leaving the store with nothing as my workplace ‘R U OK Day’ event was currently on and I was missing out on it.
This behaviour is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated within any business. The lack of respect, empathy and understanding of customer service baffles me.
I spent $60 and received nothing but anxiety and a really terrible story to share with my colleagues on a day where people should be supported....

The guy tonight didn't know how to redeem a loyalty card, put 2 leaves of spinach and 1 piece of tomato on my sandwich, then proceeded to squash it whilst wrapping it. He didn't even hand my food to me after I paid meaning I had to reach over to his side of the counter to get it - while he starting tidying his till without acknowledging me - which is just rude. I barely ever complain about food servers (have been one myself back in the day) but I can tell when someone just isn't trying. The new girl on Sundays (maybe Saturday?) afternoons is good...
Read moreEvery single subway charged you incorrectly every time this is beyond a joke. By now subway owes me hundreds of dollars. Its always so busy they need to speak to the.manager and people are waiting and then getting angry at me when yous messed up the prices. Im getting sick to death of it. Even when you tell your dumb workers and point to the deal your getting they dont get it for some reason. So annoying. Not just your store but every store. Rubbish and half the time I dont notice till later but today I did and the person had no idea. How can I a non subway worker know how to the job better than a subway worker....
