Ryan the manager is the second worst restuarant manager I have ever dealt with absolutely no customer service skills. No smile clearly lost interest in the job just going through the motions. Went in after booking on the fork set menu advertising. Then Ryan very abruptly said we dont use the fork any more.I just booked through them. Ryan then went on to say 10 people or more I said ok show me. He could not. If handled better would have been more understanding just attitude was poor. Anyway paid for my drinks that didn't even drink and left. Still no sorry I will pass on to the people in my building and my staff my experience. No apology just told not avaliable not even sorry. Great work Squires loft Albert park you are terrible. No wonder people say you are run poorly go to the city or docklands. This is actually the second time dealings with who has been rude. First time turned us away at 8pm said kitchen is closed. Had to laugh again clearly had a bad night wanted to go home. Went to Docklands got Fantastic service. Ryan if you dont enjoy you job or not up to restuarant customer service do something else clearly you don't care anymore and need a change and losing the...

We went during a quiet time in the afternoon, and got the feeling that we were interrupting the relaxation time of the front of house staff. The only time the lady/waitress attending us smiled, was when her shift ended and a redhead young man took over. The medium rare steak was charred and cooked on a dirty grill. When the waitress took it back to the kitchen, I could hear the chef screaming at her that he's not replacing that steak. The waitress explained to me that the lack of basting would make it easier for a steak to burn. My experience is that the basting tends to burn easily, which is why I requested no basting in the first place. Lo and behold I received back the same steak, but this time the charred flavour permeated the meat so that the bitterness could not be avoided even after I cut off most of the blackened bits of steak. There was no way I could taste anything that should taste like a meaty rump. An experience that should have been welcoming and filling left us with 'literally' a bitter taste...

Customer service isn't the best here neither are the steaks.

They took awhile to get our order and it took them even longer to bring it out.

When our steaks were brought out they just put it on the table and didn't even say what was what and walked away without saying a single word.

The quality of the steak is below average. I ordered a Black Angus Rib-eye and it was not good at all. I think I've got a six-pack on my jaw from chewing. (I eat out A LOT at different steak joints and this one is one of less tastiest and below average quality).

Toilets aren't all that clean with urine all over the floor and seats. The soap dispenser isn't working aswell as the hand dryers being out-of-order so they have a communal roll of paper towel for everyone to share that's not in a holder so it's absolutely drenched from everyone touching it and using it.

Overall the place seems a little run-down. Maybe it needs something to bring the life back into it and maybe a new supplier of meat or better chef...

Fantastic tender cooked to perfection steak, If you love steak then this is the place for you! It may take a while to be served but trust me its soo worth it, The steak is so juicy & tender I personally would recommend the 400g ribeye, Great size & so succulent to definitely a new favourite steak of mine! Though make sure to be careful when you chew it! maybe I’m just bad at eating steak but this is the second time at Squires loft that i’ve nearly choked, This time was worse leaving my throat sore, Embarrassing I know but I think that’s my own fault, I also would recommend there broccolini to go with it it’s so scrumptious same with there thick golden chips, Though I don’t recommend the Caesar salad in my opinion but that’s just me, Kind service & huge portion sizes 🥩 but beware it can get quite expensive depending on what you order!🥂

On our last night in Melbourne we went out with our extended family for a nice dinner. There were 8 of us so we made sure to make a reservation but from the looks of it a week night reservation probably wouldn't be necessary. When we arrived we were greeted promptly and seated immediately. There were only 3 other tables occupied so it was nice and quiet. The atmosphere was nice, big windows and nice decor made it comfortable. Our waiter was attentive and a comedian. The bread was very good but limited unless you want to pay for more. Our meals came out in a timely manner. My steak was a little over what I wanted and I asked for butter with my baked potato and got sour cream. One of our party ordered chicken and it was very dry. Overall it was pretty good but not someplace I would frequent.
