When we checked into this apartment they automatically took out the bond money when it is supposed to be “holding”, when we questioned it to reception the said the bank would refund the money if there was no damage (already suspicious?) we then checked in and the apartment floor had noticeable stains, which we should have taken a photo of but we assumed the hotel would have clearly known their floor was stained prior as cleaners constantly go in. The next day after we checked out we got a call they were trying to accuse us saying we made the red stain… when we clearly didn’t! we told them no one was drinking any red wine that night and the stain was there prior. They said they were going to check the alcohol bottles to see, we told them to go for it as there are no red alcohol bottles. We reassured them we didn’t do it and the staff at reception said well the cleaners would have known if it was already there. He said if they couldn’t get it out he would call back. We then got a call back saying that they were incorrect after investigating and that the stain was already there!! which we clearly stated it was and they didn’t believe us initially. It was a set up from the start when they took the bond money from the beginning, they intended on keeping it, they are trying to steal your money purposely saying you are leaving stains that they have left there themselves. Very disappointing as we actually did have a good stay there until that call came through. Your reception team should have “investigated” prior to making the call. A call was made back during the week as the bond money had not been received back and the reception staff member said they had contacted the bank to “release the funds”. When we rang the bank straight after they said there was no record of Quest contacting them.

Read moreWe cannot recommend Quest on Dorcas highly enough. We recently stayed at The quest for the Formula 1. We had accomodation booked for the F1 elsewhere, obviously covid killed them and the reviews on my first hotel dropped dramatically from the time I originally booked, this meant I had to find last minute accomodation the week of the F1, which I knew would be impossible. I managed to come across an executive apartment at the Quest but it only slept 2 we needed it to be 3. I rang anyway hoping we could make something work. They couldn’t have been more accomodating. They organised for a roll bed to be moved to the room for my son. When we worked out my car wouldn’t fit in their parking lot due to height, the manager reserved a staff parking spot for us where we would fit. On arrival they allowed us to park our car super early the morning of F1 (a staff member even moved their car so we could park in the staffing area.) The allowed us to park on the last day of the F1. Our room was beautiful and clean with all the facilities we needed for a weekend. Bed and Pillows were unbelievably comfortable (this includes the roll out bed) We came home to our room being made back up beautifully while we were out. Not once did we come across a staff member that wasn’t polite or extremely helpful. And the location is spot on. Read moreOn Sat 5/11/22 we arrived after 11pm to check in and called the night manager, as instructed by staff earlier that day. I was met by a female staffer who was checking us in and when payment was required via card, the mobile EFTPOS machine was not working. The tap function would not register two different (valid, functional and funded) Mastercards, nor ApplePay via my phone or GooglePay via my husbands phone, nor with insert for two cards. Clearly, it was the machine and not our cards (which had been successfully used earlier that day). I have a screenshot of my bank balance on the night being more than sufficient. The staffer rang her manager to troubleshoot but kept saying they required upfront payment for checkin. I suggested to reset the machine, which she did not know how to do. I suggested a bank transfer, she did not know if it was available. She did not suggest a manual card transaction and said our final option was cash (it was midnight by this point). She did not know of any ATM nearby. We left to find three nearby on Maps, all of which were either closed or temporarily unavailable, so we rang her back to say we weren’t having any luck and could we please sort it out first thing in the morning. I was pregnant and exhausted. I offered for her to hold my card overnight which she declined. Again she called her manager who refused to check us in without prepayment, so we left, with no hotel at midnight on a Saturday and no apology. It was just awful. We will never stay at...
