If the gods of Mexican cuisine were ever to descend upon Earth in search of a temple devoted to the sacred taco, they would find their paradise at Taco Bill. What I experienced here was nothing short of divine rapture wrapped in a warm tortilla.
The night began with a cascade of colour, music, and the unmistakable aroma of sizzling spices—an olfactory symphony that seduced every sense. Then came the tacos: plump, golden, and overflowing with flavour. Each bite was a crescendo of perfectly seasoned meats, crisp lettuce, molten cheese, and velvety guacamole, tucked lovingly into soft or crunchy shells. These were not mere tacos. These were edible sonnets—tacopoetry, if you will.
And then—oh, then—came what I can only describe as the Mexican equivalent of spring rolls: petite parcels of joy, golden-fried to perfection, filled with savoury morsels and bursting with smoky depth. Whether these delights were taquitos, flautas, or simply magic in disguise, I do not know—but they danced on my palate like mariachis at midnight.
But the jewel in the crown? The bottomless margaritas. Flowing like a river in some mythical agave valley, these citrus-laced elixirs elevated our dinner to legend status. Each glass shimmered with zesty brilliance, rimmed with salt, and packed just enough punch to remind you that joy, indeed, is a beverage.
Taco Bill did not merely feed me. It awakened me. I laughed until my cheeks hurt, danced in my seat, and devoured with the gusto of a woman reborn. It was, without a single doubt, the best night of my life.
Viva Taco Bill. You glorious,...
Read moreLoved the look of the decor and the place had a nice feel to it, however the nice feel soon disappeared when we were served by the man behind the counter. He looked like he did not want to be there at all, no customer service whatsoever. Thought maybe he is having a bad day, we all have them so moved on from that. Had the starter of Stuffed Jalapeno, they were probably the best part of the whole experience. Mains were slow cooked beef nachos and La Combinacion. The nachos had a small amount of beef on it, which was probably a good thing at this point as the beef was dry and tasted like it had been cooked a few days ago and just microwaved to serve. The La Combinacion looked like a plate of slop, nothing like the pictures, you could not tell what was what on that plate. It was our first meal of the day and we just ate it out of hunger (regretfully). When it was time to pay there was another man serving (assume generally works in the kitchen), as all he said to us was "oh I guess I can take your payment" (assuming he does not usually do that role?). At this point I should have said "actually no you don't have to take my payment", and continue to explain to him why I think $64 for those meals was ridiculous. However I did'nt and just wanted to get out of there. Not at any point did anyone ask "how everything was? Did you enjoy your meals?" Nothing, nada! NOT authentic Mexican, and upon further research I noticed Taco Bill is a food chain,...
