Being catfished by a cafe is worse then being catfished by a person. We opted for the breakfast banquet for 2, and we like to eat so we chose the larger one, $40 per person, which is fine, i dont mind spending when it comes to food. But this was terrible. Everything tasted package or frozen and bland, nothong authentic or home-made, Portion sizes was small enough it was as if they were feeding toddlers, they list turkish cold meats, pluaral with a S. You get 1, everything was rationed as though it was a tasting menu. The potatoe eggs look like dog vomit and tasted horrible i took 1 bite, got up payed the over priced bill and left. The sujuk and eggs looked like a childs school project, was bland and lacked anything special, it waa litterslly scambled eggs with a few bits of sujuk just layed on top, Again the portions were as though your feeding kittens. The turkish tea comes out in nice authentic tea pots, lucky no kids or anyone were sitting infront of me because while its sitting on your table it has a candle under it and without warning it got so hot the boiling water shot out of the pot thank God i had it facing the other and not pointed towards us otherwise we would have had a nice trip to thr hospital. Another table ordered the calamari the smell of dirty fish was so strong it was as if we had sardines glued to our nose. Dissapointed and ripped off is an...
Read moreIf I could rate this place no star I would. There is a reason why you make a booking. Especially if it’s for a celebration and you have guests. Although we booked a certain table for 9 people, when we arrived, the table was given to someone else and the worst part is the people that sat there were 30 minutes late. Double booked! Perhaps ???Why not make them wait for being late and arrange another table for them. Mind you we were ready to be seated when this happened which is the worst part. Even though I mentioned that table was booked for us, staff grabbed the other family and assisted them to the table and pretended as if nothing happened. We got completely ignored. Whatever happened to waiting for 15 minutes and then you lose the table. By the way how do you book someone the same table at 11:30 for one big group and at 12 for another unless you plan on kicking that family out 30 minutes later. As if this wasn’t enough there was no apology, no courtesy to try and make it better. Only defensive comments. We waited for half an hour whilst other families got seated and we ended up walking away. Clearly these people think they are making enough money that losing one family doesn’t make a difference. Good luck with upholding the reputation for service as it’s clearly 0. Will never go there again or recommend to anyone as they are just not nice to deal with...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, my recent experience at Taksim Bakehouse was quite disappointing. Several key aspects fell short. The service was slow and inattentive, we waited a considerable amount of time before being acknowledged, and our server seemed overwhelmed and disinterested. The food, which I had high hopes for, arrived lukewarm and lacked seasoning or distinctive flavor. The simit was not fresh and seemed like it was made a few days before. The breakfast spread was nothing special at all. We still left hungry and not satisfied at all which was very disappointing as this booking was for my father. It’s clear the restaurant has potential, but the execution on this visit didn’t reflect the quality or professionalism expected, especially at this price point. I hope management takes this feedback constructively and addresses the gaps in both service and...
