Extremely disappointed. We went for my birthday and the entire time we just wanted to leave.
I’ll start positives, the food was quite nice.
Now for the negatives, we made a booking ahead of time and when we arrived we were seated at the bar right beside the entrance and in front of the kitchen (there is no kitchen door so it was loud). It was also very loud because of the bartender making cocktails and drinks, right in front of us and the hostess welcoming people constantly behind us. We did ask if there would be a table to sit at as we were being seated, to which we were told there wasn’t an available. The entire time we were there, there was a table free behind us, it was free at the time we were seated to the time we left. THEN, a group of people who came in who’s table wasn’t ready yet, so they were instructed to have a drink at the bar but as the entire bar was taken up by people eating, they had to stand directly behind us and they were shouting and a man elbowed me in the back, he did apologise and this is not a complaint on them as this was not there fault what so ever, they should never of been in that situation and neither should’ve we.
Also, The pricing is different one there google maps listing so check the pricing on their actual website, this is understandable but it was over a 30% increase. I did bring this up as I wanted to make them aware (after we had paid) but the worker seemed uninterested in speaking to me and just wanted to get rid of me so he gave us cash for the difference, while this was very nice and we appreciated it, it was more about giving feedback. And I didn’t like that the worker couldn’t even take 2 minutes to speak to me.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience, I don’t recommend coming here but if you do ask for a TABLE. Everything could of been solved if we had just not been sat at the bar, we probably wouldn’t have even worried about the price difference as, like I said, it’s...
Read moreHubby and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tazio, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening.
The menu was a delightful journey through classic Italian dishes, and it was clear that only the freshest ingredients were used. I started with the arancini, which was delicious. Each arancini was golden and crispy on the outside, giving way to a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth center that was bursting with flavor. The earthy, rich taste of the brown mushrooms was perfectly balanced by the smokiness of the scamorza cheese, creating a savory, comforting bite that felt both indulgent and refined. For the main course, I opted for the Agnello Ragu which was outstanding – tender, slow-cooked lamb in a rich, flavoursome sauce with just the right hint of herbs and spices. The meat was incredibly tasty and melted in your mouth, while the sauce had a depth that only comes from hours of careful preparation. Served over fresh pasta, it was comforting, hearty, and utterly delicious. A true standout dish that I would highly recommend!
The wine selection (although only for my husband as I am pregnant) was equally impressive, featuring a variety of both Italian and local wines that complemented the dishes beautifully. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and wine they served, which made the experience even more special.
Overall, Tazio exceeded all my expectations. It's the kind of place where you feel like a valued guest, not just a customer. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings. (And the wine next time) Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a...
Read moreVery disappointed with the service. We had confirmed our reservation and seating preference via email, but our table was given away because one friend arrived 8 minutes late. An Asian male staff member was extremely rude, loudly blaming us despite our confirmation. We were placed at a cramped table, and his aggressive attitude ruined the mood—especially on a friend’s birthday. Poor handling of the situation and zero professionalism.
We’re shocked by your aggressive and dismissive response. Since Google doesn’t allow direct replies to owner responses, I’ll clarify here:
Yes, we mistakenly entered one wrong digit in the phone number—but we did double confirm via email, and that confirmation was acknowledged by your staff. It’s incredibly unfair to twist this into “no online confirmation.” Most restaurants hold tables for at least 15 minutes past the reservation time—a basic industry standard. We arrived 8 minutes late, and our table was already given away.
The real issue wasn’t the table, but the attitude of your Asian male staff member. From the start, he threatened us by saying we could either sit outside or squeeze into a tiny spot indoors. When one of us politely raised the fact that your website does not clearly state any late arrival policy, he repeatedly interrupted, raised his voice, and continued shouting even after we asked to end the conversation. You’re welcome to ask him directly if this happened.
The first table was so cramped we had to hold our bags and coats throughout the meal. After moving, we didn’t get any water during the dinner. And while the food was bland, that became the least of our concerns compared to how we were treated.
To other customers: be warned—leaving an honest review might get you attacked by the...
