Tilly’s Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have tried to be patient with this place, a lot of the times the ladies are not very helpful or friendly. Three times I have asked for a Cornish pastie it comes out badly burnt. The lady was very surprised when I said I cannot eat it........was not happy but has gone to heat up another one. It has been twenty five minutes so far. Not likely to come here much again. After waiting for over twenty minutes the irate business operator came out and abused me for taking a picture, said I hadn't asked for another pastie and was not going to give my money back either. Has told me to never come back......no need really I wouldn't and neither would many people I know If you go I hope you have a better experience........there are much better venues on the main street Thank you for responding , firstly it was the third time I had had a burnt top of the pastie......it always changes the taste of the food. I said I couldn't eat it and she said it would take a while to heat another I said thank you I will wait for it then. Why do you think I was sitting there for twenty five minutes. Only after I posted my review your staff member came out very angry and said she didn't want to be photographed. She said to my face I didn't ask for another........which is totally incorrect.. I then asked for a refund and she said no and I was to leave, she was the business owner. If you see my ....over 500 reviews I have never been treated so disgustingly over something so trivial. I asked nicely first for another pastie, I received poor service I received, poor food, then no refund.......the whole thing was disgusting. In this instance your staff member let you down, screamed it was her business and to get out. If she had asked nicely I would have removed the picture. Sorry your business will be effected. I only really get coffee from this place, but I love the service and coffee is always on point. I have previously had the toasted focaccias which are always delicious. You can also sign up to be able to text your order for pick up which I love. In terms of atmosphere, it's a shopping mall cafe so it's perfect...
