Me and my friends came and ordered iced coffees ($9 for honestly a very small cup and my matcha latte was pretty average tbh). The server that took our order said “in a takeaway cup?” My friend replied sure but we want to drink it here and she replied “but in a to go cup though, right?” We sat down anyway and by the way apart from like 5-6 tables with chairs, the rest of seating is like bench running along the back wall. I also ordered a ham and cheese brioche thing which looked like a pie, they just chucked it in the toaster and it was still cold in the middle and guess what, they brought it to where I was sitting IN A BROWN PAPER BAG, would you not think to switch it to a plate or something if you knew I was sitting at a table?? I don’t know if it’s because we arrived around 3pm and they close at 3:30 but we just didn’t feel welcome.
Honestly won’t be coming back, the three of us sat side by side on a bench along the back wall, and staff didn’t feel friendly (the one that took our order and brought the order to us). It was great. But the attitude of the two female staff? Easily one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. Honestly, I’ve never felt that humiliated by customer...
Read moreAfter hearing glowing reviews about Tone Coffee, I was eager to experience it firsthand. The café boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere, complemented by friendly and attentive staff.
I ordered flat whites in both available sizes—small and large. The small was unexpectedly bitter, lacking the depth I anticipated, while the large felt diluted and lacked the robust flavor I enjoy. This inconsistency in taste between sizes was a bit disappointing.
Given the café’s reputation and the pleasant ambiance, I plan to return and try their dine-in option. Perhaps enjoying the coffee in-house will offer a different experience.
Tone Coffee has a lot to offer, and I’m hopeful that my next visit will align more closely with the high praise it...
