Willows & Wine — Restaurant in Melbourne

Willows & Wine used to be my favourite bar in Melbourne, but since the new management has taken over the venue has the most bizarre opening hours. Not long ago my boyfriend and I wanted to have a date there on Saturday evening. We were about to leave but luckily he checked the website and saw it was shut - on a Saturday night. Why would a Melbourne bar be shut on Saturdays? We changed plans but even now coming into summer, it shuts at 6pm on a Saturday, 8pm on a Friday? So if I want to pop in after work with some friends, we have to be conscious it will be shut by 8pm? It's such a shame as it's such a wonderful concept for a bar, but until the new manager has standard bar opening hours and is open until at least 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, I'm not...

Only been there once unplanned a month ago, had such a great experience there. Nice ambiance for study/work and chill. The owner is very welcoming and easy going. Definitely a go-to spot for weekends.

Just a heads up for people who want to go during the weekend -- I went there twice on Sundays after the first time and both times it was closed due to understandable reasons, but prior to going there I searched on google map and the website suggested it will be open as usual :(
