Updated: Been here 4 times in the last 12 months and Yeonga never disappoints! ✅️ charcoal grill is used ✅️ staff helps with the grilling ✅️ premium quality wagyu ✅️ the staff is very kind and welcoming This time, we tried: 🥩🍗 I am Marinated set menu (LA Galbi, Marinated Angus Beef, Grill Sweet Chicken, Beef Soybean Stew) 🥓 Pork belly 🦐 Seafood Pancake Food is amazing as always with standouts being the LA Galbi and marinated angus beef 🤤🤤 The restaurant ambience is cosy - some the tables are separated with a divider. We really appreciated that the friendly and attentive staff cooked for us which meant that the meat was grilled to perfection and that we could sit back and enjoy the meal! The food also came with complimentary rice cakes, corn cheese, pineapple and steamed egg which was cooked on the charcoal grill. They have various sets or individual meats you can order, which are halal certified and of high quality 🥩 Their menu also consists of other korean dishes - had their japchae previously which was delicious and bibimbap as well. 💖 Highly recommend - would visit again and again! 🙈 From previous visits: This has become my family's favourite kbbq place and we ordered: 🥩 LA Galbi 🥩 Marinated Angus Beef 🥩 Angus Brisket 🥩 Marinated Beef Rib 🥓 Pork belly 🥩🍗 I am Marinated set menu (LA Galbi, Marinated Angus Beef, Grill Sweet Chicken, Beef Soybean Stew 🍚 Bibimbap x1 🥢 Japchae ×2 🦐 Seafood Pancake

North Melbourne boasts several KBBQ restaurants, but one in particular stands out with a constant buzz of patrons, even on weekdays, non other than pioneer @yeong_kbbq. The moment you walk into @yeonga_kbbq, you're enveloped in a strong Korean vibe, thanks to its thoughtful design and traditional interior concept. This two-level restaurant impresses with its efficient service, coordinated by a team of around 10 staff members just on our floor! As soon as you're seated, the charcoal grill is set up, and your order is delivered within 10 minutes. Their attentive staff starts grilling for you right away, ensuring a seamless dining experience. The banchan (side dishes) are unlimited, with staff offering refills without needing to be asked. With top-quality ingredients, minimal marination is needed; the charcoal grill enhances the natural flavours. My favourite is the wagyu beef—smoky, tender, and melts in your mouth. Featured Dishes: Let it Mix - $98 Sweet Soy Chicken - $22 Seafood Pancake - $22 Boneless Fried Chicken - $22 @yeonga_kbbq is popular among the Muslim community as it is Halalحلال‎ certified. It’s highly recommended to book in advance if you are up for some authentic Kbbq, especially on weekends, as this place gets very busy. P/s : they're running winter special ATM, for $75 you get bbq set + stew! (Check instore for promo)

waygu and Angus beef had very little taste if any. Needs sauce to make it tasty. Pork neck was heavily marinated in sugar. At the end of the meal my mouth was filled with artificial flavoring and not the natural flavors that I was hoping for. Very unpleasant. The lettuce veggie was not fresh even after they replaced it. Server's attitude was really bad... "either take it or leave it" Attached photo. Service was horrible, server bumped a whole plate of Angus brisket on the grill. They were rolled up and she did not even bother to unroll them. Then just left and proceed to tend to another table. seriously? our meat was just left there burning as it was thin sliced. She also managed to drop meat and food on the table without even a courtesy apology. Then noticed that she had a tag "trainee" .... from that point on we just told them we would take over. Atmosphere was terrible was we were seated in the back close to the toilet. Even though we were FIRST there at 5:30pm. Noticed a lot of the good reviews here were left by "kids". If u have eaten at good restaurants and have taste buds definitely AVOID this place. Okay for kids but for QUALITY... look elsewhere. There r much better options for Korean bbq in Melbourne.
