ORDERED: ๐Ÿฅฉ Beef Set A for 2 people: with kimchi stew with pork ($69.50) scotch fillet (wagyu) topside beef (wagyu) flank beef marinated 2 rice ๐Ÿท Marinated pork skin ($22.00) 5% cash discount ๐Ÿ’ต

It was $43.47pp for 2 people

REVIEW: Donwoori is affordable and I loved when they cooked and looked after the meat for us! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The beef was pretty nice. Australian beef, you can't go wrong! ๐Ÿ„ The portion was enough for 2 girls. I also got to try a really interesting dish that I don't typically see offered at Korean restaurants. ๐Ÿ– The marinated pork skin. ๐Ÿ– It doesn't crisp up like crispy pork crackling. Rather, it maintained its gelatinous texture. My cousin was trying to convince me that there's a lot of collagen, so this dish is GREAT FOR YOUR SKIN!! The flavour and gummy texture slowly grew on me over time. Free refills on banchan is always appreciated. ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿข We also got a marshmallow at the end (thank you!) which was a fun sweet way to wrap up our meal. We got to cook it over the coal.

Environment is clean and it's intimate. We made a booking reservation online for a weekday, but I think you could also walk...

We came here yesterday night for dinner after a Korean friend's recommendation and we were very pleased to have found our new to go place when it comes down to this cuisine.๐Ÿ‘ฌ

Based on price this Korean BBQ restaurant has no competitors if not right next door, which I believe it isโค owned by the same people.

We ordered the Combo Donwoori A, $43 for 2 people, including Scotch Fillet, Top Side Beef, Marinated Flank Beef, Kimchi Stew and Rice for 2.๐Ÿ˜š

Both, service and ambience were lovely and transmitted a sense of being in another country, South Korea in this case.โค

As per usual all the meat is accompanied by pickles and different sauces and condiments.๐Ÿ’ช The meat was not the top of the quality but we have to be realistic and say that for that price it would be hard to find any better when we are talking about K-BBQ.๐Ÿ˜„ The highlight was the marinated flank beef, simply melting in your mouth leaving a complete feeling of satisfaction. ๐Ÿ˜

We had an awesome time at Donwoori and we look forward to visit the sister shop to compare the 2.๐Ÿ˜Š

Thank you...

Even if the other kbbq places are booked out in the area, donโ€™t bother coming here. Youโ€™ll be wasting your money. Itโ€™s probably the worst kbbq spot Iโ€™ve been to, both in Melbourne and ever. Overpriced, overcooked and over it. They cook it for you which I donโ€™t mind but I will mind if you burn my food and not apologise or acknowledge it. The banchans were bad except the kimchi was decent. Corn cheese was lacking in flavour and texture was so watery. Meat cuts were small and super salty for some of the marinated cuts. Lettuce was cut up cos lettuce and extra $3 for more. They also completely forgot one of our meat cuts but by that time, we were ready to leave, so we didnt mind too much. The price is definitely not worth it. $96 for 2 meat cuts, 1 soju, 1 rice and a corn cheese? No thanks. Donโ€™t bother. Just donโ€™t have kbbq if nothing...

We had the Donwoori set for 2 ($45), and the kimchi soup. Plus the additional sides of lettuce, mushrooms, garlic, and chilli. The meat consisted of two types of beef, and altho I've had bigger than servings at other Korean restaurants, the price here was cheaper. It was filling and a satisfyingly meal. I did like the different experience of cooking over the charcoal coals BBQ , instead of a gas powered BBQ. The only thing was that we got asked 3 times, one after another, whether we had finished, so they could take away our plates, when I was actually still slowly getting getting thru my rice and kimchee, and had not finished. I felt like they were rushing me out. I'd suggest better communication between staff, so they know which customers have already been asked, and also to prevent them feeling like they're being rushed and ushered out. ๐Ÿ˜
