Zack's Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Unfortunately we ordered through door dash tonight who did not turn up with our pizzas. After close to an hour and a half we thought we would call Zacks to find out if there was anything they could do and ask how long our pizzas had been sitting there waiting so we could then go back to door dash and complain. However, on calling Zacks and being put on to the manager,( I was sitting here listening to the call between my husband and the manager ), he was immediately verbally abusive and so incredibly rude. Asked us why we were calling him, stated he was too busy and basically told us to get lost. My husband barely got a word in, was not rude in the slightest, was just calling to find out if they could help us. I've never been treated like that by any business and find that behaviour to be absolutely appalling and so disappointing. We love Zacks pizza and are locals, but after being treated by the manager like that for no good reason, we will not...

Nice pizza BUT all advertising leaflets and shops window is adorned with “WOOD FIRED PIZZA”. The leaflet has small print saying “only gourmet pizzas cooked in wood oven.” We are new to the area and the place has good reviews… so we rang and ordered a GOURMET WOOD FIRED PIZZA. Picked it up and … it came out of the standard oven. When I queried this the owner? said “we haven’t used the wood oven for 2 years because of Covid - but it’s coming again soon.” That’s fine Zacks BUT what’s w the false advertising ??!!! After coming back here after some time the pizza has been great, however when I picked up tonight’s order I was pretty disappointed, yes they where busier than usual. But I was told on the phone it would be 30 mins, after arriving on time had to wait 20 extra minutes. but what I was shocked by when I ordered my pepperoni, it’s clear they where running short but Instead of telling me they just used 2 slices and tore them into little pieces and they still didn’t manage to cover the pizza properly, almost as if they fell on accidentally to a cheese pizza … :( had to change my recent 5 star review.
