Donut King Midland Gate Shop KK014 — Restaurant in Midland

Never in my entire life have I been spoken to so condescendingly at a food establishment. When it came my turn to order, I said to the woman with short purple hair that I'd like a box of 6 donuts, with all 6 being the cinnamon scrolls that had the heavy white icing on top. There were two types of cinnamon scrolls, one with a thin layer of icing, and one with a heavy layer of white icing on top. I wanted all 6 with the heavy white icing. Couldn't have been more clear in what I was ordering, so I found the conversation that ensued to be quite baffling. This woman then proceeded to very condescendingly ask me if I wanted an "iced box" or "the other one". I replied with the fact that only half of the same donut type (cinnamon) scroll appeared to be "iced", and repeated that I'd like 6 with the heavy white icing. The woman paused and repeated herself, speaking to me very slowly as if I was a young child who did not understand. The man standing next to me laughed and jokingly said "just get half of each then". I once again repeated to the woman that I wanted 6 cinnamon scrolls with the heavy icing on top, which she then proceeded to put in the box and charge me. I was told the total was $26. Upon walking away I realised I hadn't been offered a receipt and my gut instinct told me to check my bank account to see the amount charged. Sure enough, I was overcharged by $3. Of course! I see now why I wasn't offered a receipt. I went straight back an pointed out that I was charged $29 and showed the amount charged to my bank from my phone. The woman froze like a deer in headlights for a good while before going to get my $3, which she then released from her hand too early when giving it to me, causing one of the coins to drop to the ground. The only thing I did not understand during that interaction was why any sort of clarification was needed after I very clearly stated exactly what I intended to purchase. It truly felt as though this woman just wanted to patronise me. One of the younger ladies working there also smirked the entire time I was being treated this way. Be sure to check what you are actually being charged. Don't just trust the amount they say....

Hi there, Today I kinda ruined my day. I know it was my fault that I had foods from sushihub which is next to donut king. I read the note on the table but I also saw Aussie couple having sushi there too. So i quickly finished my sushi it didn't even take 5mins. But the blond lady just passed Aussie couple and came to me

Said "Are you waiting for food from donut King?" "I said, oh no, I'm finished sorry." And her voice changed

I said sorry I'll clean up i didn't even drop any acutally I was the one who cleaned the dirty table before I had my foods.

Anyway, she said "you know, I don't want to see the dirty thing here"

Treat me like I'm 3yrs old

Even the couple next to me also saying that was so rude, and they feel sorry for me I had to experience very impolite situation.

I was trying to understand the way she treated me like that

But I my self also working in hospitality Industry

I bet youguys are loosing a lot of future customers by doing that

I believe there is better way to treat your customers and also future customers

I would never ever going to buy any piece from donut King. In my mind already your brand is "rude king" not...

Agree with Frank John on the dragon lady your very rude I sat my girls down today with some food from the pretzel place and I then went to order 2x coffee and a donut while I was away ordering you confronted my two young daughters who you had no bussiness talking to either especially so rudely they are just 10 and 12yrs old and you just told them that they couldn't sit there... then you stormed off.. if you'd come back you'd of copped a good earful from me.

I also add I was there a few days ago and your so so slow i walked away to take a whole phone call and then even came back and you still weren't ready.

I recon you lost a ton of business being so rude and so slow several others were waiting to order while you were running around like a headless chook maybe you need to retire because your literally just so slow at your job and have no customer service skills. I'll sit where I like to also I'd of liked to see you try...
