Came here for the steak but they sold out! Heard that it's pretty popular... so I had the steak sandwich and tried the house burger. Both were fantastic, meat was tender and tasty and their chips were spot on. Best aioli for me too... Never been a huge fan of aioli because so many places make it taste too much like mayo, but this was creamy not too tangy and not overpowering. Their chili jam was unique in taste and texture; more like an Asian sambal consistency so not so jelly-like, and more like a relish but with chopped chili. Not spicy at all for me but there is a touch of a bite for those not used to spicy food. I believe there is curry powder in it as well which actually works out pretty good overall. Loved it all. Definitely coming back to try the steak. Lovely little place stuck in the middle of two giant franchises yet so underrated. Loved the ambiance and simple decor.

With the atmosphere being relaxed and appropriately social distanced we were able to enjoy my daughters 14th birthday in bliss. The menu is to die for and appropriately priced if not a touch cheap for the quality, we can personally vouch for the chicken burgers made to order for our fussy eaters. Burger consisted of (after customisation) 2 chicken tenders marinaded in buttermilk and seasoning, cooked to perfection and served on a sourdough bun with cheese and steakhouse chips. The signature Principal burger was the birthday girls pick and wow what a burger. Tender meat paddy, cheese, bacon, lettuce & tomatoe on a sourdough bun with a side of chips. The staff were accommodating with the fussy eaters, energetic, courteous and even went out of their way to make a sign for the birthday girl. Will definitely be back to this fine establishment, Chef & staff you have our respect.

Booking into the venue was easy through google and we had a big group of 14. Our waitress Sarah was a delight and the wine selection included a variety of options from the Swan valley region. A review on the dishes we had: - The Drunken Chicken Salad - super tasty and fresh. It tastes like a thai beef salad but with chicken. Served cold, this was perfectly refreshing for a 36°C day in Perth. There is a bit of chilli in there - be warned 😉 - The parmi - HUGE and tasty - The fish and chips - beautiful, tender fish but you could definitely share if you're not hungry - The risotto was a big disappointment, lacking flavour and salt. - The salmon special was wonderful. The sauce was zesty and delicious The chips on all the dishes were blonde, non soggy and a bit underwhelming

Went there with a friend on a Saturday night, arriving 8:20 PM, and was told by the waitress that the kitchen would close by 9PM. After getting our order, was then told by the same person that the restaurant itself would close also by 9PM. That meant we only had 30 minutes to get our food and eat.

Me friend got the chicken parm, and we told the waitress to put the salad on a side-plate and to leave the onions and the dressing. It came out on a side-plate, but with the onions and dressing intact. She was told to tell the chef to season the fries because the last we were here (a year ago) we basically got fried potatoes. We got fried potatoes again.

I ordered the pasta marinara. Although tasty, the pasta was a solid mass and stuck together because, for one, it was overcooked. I think it was frozen pasta that was microwaved to thaw out.

At 9PM, on the dot, the manager came to take our plate.

As we were paying, we were asked our feedback. My friend told them what went wrong, and all we got was an "aw......"

This place used to be good. Then a year ago we didn't like the experience. This was their second chance. I wouldn't...

My partner and I went here last night for our date night. Venue: great set up, the restaurant was maybe a bit small for how many tables they had in the room, we were pretty much on a table of six, that's how close we sitting next to people who were there.

Service: the waiter we had for the night didn't come of very friendly, was rude and really didn't have a clue. We were checked for ID (the waiters looked younger than us!)

Food: was not worth the money we paid for. My partner ordered the large pork ribs, which came with chips and a salad ($32). The best part of his meal were the chips, which in his opinion not how a meal should be. I ordered the linguine marinara ($29) which is supposed to come with mussels, calamari, snapper, scallops and prawns. I got 4 mussels, 1 tiny piece of snapper, which were covered in bones; 1 scallop and 2 prawns. I've had a lot of linguine marinara and usually there is a lot more seafood. Very...
