We've enjoyed coming here over several years. Last time we fancied jam and cream scones.... they were advertised as ''fluffy'' and looked delicious in the menu, a serve of two, each overflowing with jam and cream... yum 🤩. We ordered, They arrived..... Baked hard and crispy but smelling good and with a small dish full to the brim with Berry jam. The cream dish (same size) barely half full of cream. I thought there had been a mistake ... there was barely enough for ONE scone. I asked for the cream dish to be filled. I was told, abruptly, that one level teaspoon of cream was the ''serve'' and no more cream would be added. I pointed out the difference between the picture in their menu and what we had pre-paid for and was served to us. She took the cream dish away, filled it and told me that in future I would have to pay for TWO serves if I wanted more cream. Her attitude was unpleasant.
I see NO reason for anyone having to pay extra to make up for misleading advertising on Dome's part..... the question is 🌷is this a sign Dome is in financial strife and is raising prices by product attrition to compensate? 🌷 is Dome practising misleading advertising? 🌷 is Dome defrauding its customers? 🌷does Dome need to overhaul its recruitment/ training/ staff customer interface reviews to regain its former high standards?
I am commenting only on the Dome opposite the shopping centre. Not...
Read moreOn this occasion, very disappointed. I'm ordering a coffee to go because I have to go to work, and I'm waiting for ages whilst the Barista makes coffees for in-house patrons.
The etiquette for take away coffees, is that if someone orders one, you make it straight away because obviously they have to go and it takes little to no time; or at least communicate and say you need to make a few first then will get onto mine. Letting the customer know, saves a lot of irritation.
I can see the staff member was run off her feet and doing many things at once, I've also worked in that industry and I understand it can be stressful; but best practice is so make the take away coffee first (if it is just one, like mine), it's better to make first. I got to work early to do things, had to wait 15 mins for take away coffee.
I had to ask the staff member to please make mine as I have to go, not really good enough.
When I've come here for dining in (coffee or food), it's been amazing! Just need to up the service for take...
Read moreI've visited this business on a regular basis and it is filthy, toilets are worse than any public toilet in a park, totally disgusting and risking your health just by stepping into them. Don't even dare to look at the floor, tables or seats in detail, you'll be shocked, crumbs from many other previous customers, dust that is not just from the day. Most of the time they bring dirty glasses and if you ask them to replace them, they just wipe them with a tea towel, which is not a sign of hygiene at all. When customers leave, it takes ages to have staff clear them, which makes the task of finding a clean table harder after you order. Once I had dipped my finger into a dip as I suspected it was too spicy, then took it back to the counter to be swapped by another one and they placed that bowl right next to the other ones ready to be taken with the orders. If you are able to overlook the filthy place and not to think about recycled sauces, you may...
