Coffee Palace — Restaurant in Mildura

This would have to be the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. Everything on the buffet was Stone cold. I had breakfast at 7.00am and did some work and stayed there for around an hour. Nothing was replenished on the breakfast bar during that hour, which was already cold when I had arrived. Seems like a lazy chef cooks everything at 6 am and leaves it there. I also had a Danish which was at least three days old. I picked up a croissant, which was as hard as a Rock. I would expect something a little more reasonable for $28! I have amended my review as I was not charged for my breakfast after pointing the issue out. Perhaps it was...

The food was below average, eggs to order were advertised but not offered so we made do with the only option of scrambled eggs. We ordered coffees on arrival and it had still not arrived when we were ready to leave so we asked for them to be take away and still had to wait a further 10 minutes. Teresa was lovely and very apologetic about the wait, but apparently our coffee order had not been made at all by another waitress. We went as a family to celebrate Father’s Day together for breakfast and we beautifully greeted at the door but the meals were lack lustre. Most of the table ordered bacon and eggs but all serves of bacon were limp, undercooked and unappealingly grey in colour (?)…….the poached eggs were perfect but scrambled and fried were both undercooked! Kids happily ate the beautiful fresh fruit salad and toasted sandwiches and the coffee was just ok, after returning one as it was nothing but hot milk. A Sunday surcharge ontop of an already pricey breakfast made us all walk away...
