It was an overall ok experience. The service staff were all very friendly. Service wise, the tea came very late after asking twice, and the tea was not the tea we requested - chrysanthemum tea, they gave us the standard Chinese tea. Additionally, the chili oil provided was a bit off - it was not the usual thicker chili oil that most dim sum restaurants provided, it was “watery”. The space is new and clean. Dim sum is quite good. Chicken feet was very good, steamed pork ribs and roast pork was also good. Siew mai was ok and the soy bean curd aka ‘dou fu fa’ was dense and rough instead of light and smooth. Lastly the egg yolk buns aka ‘lui sha bao’ was ok. The price to quality of food ratio was a bit high. Food ordered - siew mai, roast pork, steamed pork ribs, fried prawn dumplings, chicken feet, egg yolk buns and a bowl of soy bean curd - 7 items with Chinese tea for $70.20 including 1% surcharge on eftpos payment.

Had my first dinner here at Wangs Treasure due to an event and I absolutely love the food here! Presentation and flavour were both excellent! I especially adore the crispy skin fried chicken stuffed with something in it, it was da bomb! It was really easy to eat it because they’ve deboned the chicken. You must order this dish when you come here, bear in mind that it is only available for dinner. My next favourite dish would be the stuffed tofu, I’ve always been a huge fan of tofu dishes. So yeah when I say it’s good then it must be good! You won’t go wrong ordering this dish. The pork ribs were really flavourful but you must use your hand to bite off every single part of the meat. Chopsticks and forks won’t help much for this type of dish. So yeah it’s definitely worth it getting your hand dirty for this dish.

Disappointing Experience at Formerly Great Dim Sum Restaurant

I recently visited (03 MAR 2024) the dim sum restaurant, which used to be a favorite, but my experience last Sunday left me utterly disappointed. The food quality was noticeably off, lacking the passion and precision I had come to expect from their skilled chefs. The service was even worse, with the floor staff seeming disinterested and chaotic.

The once bustling atmosphere, with long queues and eager patrons, has been replaced by an eerie quiet. It's evident that something has gone awry. The lack of customers is a stark contrast to the restaurant's previous popularity.

What stood out the most was the palpable disinterest among the staff. From the chefs in the kitchen to the waiters and waitresses, it felt like no one had the dedication or enthusiasm to do their job properly. It was a stark departure from the restaurant's former glory.

Amidst this disappointing experience, one saving grace was the lady boss's sister, who seemed to be the only one genuinely invested in providing a positive dining experience. Unfortunately, the rest of the team appeared to be physically present but mentally absent.

In summary, my recent visit to this once-great dim sum restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. The decline in food quality, coupled with lackluster service, has left me questioning whether this establishment can regain its former reputation. It's disheartening to witness such a downfall, and I sincerely hope improvements are made to restore the restaurant to its...

We visited this place again on Saturday 22/4/2017 Todays review is purely based on service. On previous occasions Imhave reviewed the food here very highly.

So starting with coming in the door, the manager was wuick, communicative and efficient. One waitstaff that never fails to disappoint is the older woman on the steam trolley. She had in the past huffed and puffed when asked about the dishes. Again today, when asked for prawn dumplings, she dumped a plate of ribs in front of us. She had huffed and puffed.

Then asking that female waitstaff with really short boyish hair for more tea. She was a real b&$@! about it. She stared into the distsnt. Pointed at the table in front of her. Indicating to us to place the teapot infront of her so she did not have to reach over. It was only a small square table and the pot had already been brought up to her side by my husband. Without saying a word, nor looking down she took it away. Disgusting behaviour. Disgraceful behaviour. Terrible upbringing I must add. Please do not ever treat Wang's Treasure House customer like that who pay for your wages, even though you may behave lke this at home to your own fsmily.

Later we asked for some sesame balls from the manager who walked by, and swiftly the balls arrived a minute later by another waitstaff. This is what I call service.

Finally, paying the bill, the young lady was interactive and welcomed us back again! It was a nice finish from a service perspective. But please educate your staff to...

Went there after hearing all the praises from friends and the good reviews on google. But it was a huge disappointment, it deserves a ZERO star! Shortly after we sat down, the staff hurried us to place our order. They said they are closing at 3 pm, but we arrived at 1.30 pm, so what's the big hurry? Once you settled down, you can't help but noticed their metal trolleys were really noisy on the concrete tiles which was deafening. Minus 1 Star for the atmosphere and customer service. As for the food, any dumplings with prawns in them were terrible. The prawns were overcooked hence tough, dry and chewy. Also, the buns and all kinds of dumpling wrappers were chewy and very sticky, they transformed into a lump of glue in your mouth. The Deep-Fried Seaweed Rolls were over fried therefore we feel like we are tugging and chewing on a piece of greasy heavy-duty kitchen paper towel. They also skimmed on the tea leaves so our tea taste very weak. We have to ask the waitress to add more tea leaves into our tea pots. This is below average Dim Sum. Minus 4 Stars for the food. This will be our first and last visit at this restaurant. All we could remember of this place was noisy metal trolleys, glue, and grease. It is nowhere near our favourite Dim Sum restaurant at...
