I’m really disappointed to have to be posting this but I expected so much more. We visited here for the first time this evening after seeing the great reviews and how busy the store always is.
One of our teas was the Wintermelon which has a fixed sweetness level. After tasting the tea it was very very bitter. One of our party went up to the front counter and asked if we could add extra sweetness and she was simply told no this tea has fixed sweetness. I then went to the counter to speak to the two young ladies and was told the same. I then asked politely but with some confusion if they had a syrup which they put in the drinks and they replied yes. I asked if they could just add it to my drink and they said no because there was no way for me to pay for this syrup. After a short back and forward and me offering to pay for the addition they were completely unwilling to help but offered to remake the same drink for free. I had difficulty understanding why they were willing to make me a new drink for free but not add sweetness to my drink as there was no way for me to pay the extra..
Understandably stores have their own rules but for the sake of a good customer experience I was very surprised at how unwilling the two staff members were to work something out. Very poor customer experience and a waste of $17 to...
Read moreI used to love BOBABOBA, but the quality of their drinks and service has plummeted over the last couple of years. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon, and besides two younger teens, I was the only other customer. We had to wait 5-10 minutes to be served, as the two ahead of me had a question about the menu and needed to pay cash, and weren't able to use the self-service checkout. There were two staff, who were busy at the time, but despite clearly seeing us waiting, did not acknowledge us. While we waited, 5-6 other customers joined the queue, and it was only then that someone came to help. The staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed at having to serve us, as there is now a machine to do their job. I don't expect to have a conversation with the cashier, but I expect a basic level of customer service. A simple "Hi, we'll be with you shortly," or "Thanks for waiting!" would suffice.
Have also found that the serving of boba in the drinks has gotten smaller, especially for large drinks. Drinks still taste good, but $10 for a large drink AND a SURCHARGE for paying by card when we're basically forced to pay via self-serve EFTPOS because staff won't serve you?...
Read moreHi,
I always love going to Bobaboba to get my favourite drinks. However, today I was there with my friend to get ours drinks and thought that her order wasn’t made right. We went up to the young staffs to ensure if the grass jelly was in there and was told that it is in there but it’s in a clump and I even checked in front of them. In the end it took a bit to find the topping haha. We also noticed that the 80% of ice we’d ordered looked like 30% of ice but what do I know… I do not really like to sound like a Karen but I do want to express my disappointment and give a constructive criticism as a person who love Boba tea. Please take good care and execute ours drinks and others well next time. From this experience, it shows the lack of care and enthusiasm for the...
