🙅♀️ Why do I rate this cafe just 1 star... well actually if I could I wouldn’t even give a star at all... but google requires a minimum of 1. My reason for this rating is not on the product it’s self but the service or lack there of... the lady who served me was so passionate about how she serves her coffee that it lost her 5 customers. I asked what the alternative milks were.. reply Bonsoy. I asked if I could buy the tinned coconut milk on the shelf to have with my coffee... her reply was no, it doesn’t work well it’s to thick. (This was fair enough). She then said she uses Coco quench milk with turmeric... so I’m thinking it’s the coco quench turmeric blend you can buy. She then shows me the coco quench... it was the plain coconut milk I usually pack with me to have with coffee (due to many intolerances this is the only milk I can pair with coffee) So I ask if I could have the coco quench with coffee... her reply - no only with the turmeric paste they make themselves... me 🤦♀️ Okay so why can’t I have it with coffee... her reply -because it ruins the flavour of the coffee... hmm 🤔 isn’t that self preference... I happen to love it with coffee. But apparently I can have a long black instead... (no I don’t want a long black 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️) She also said if I bring my own milk they would make me a coffee with it.... OMFG guess what my own milk would have been if I remembered to bring it... COCO QUENCH!! But apparently this would be okay 👌🏼 Far out! The rest of my family cancelled their orders and we left for a cafe that would serve us. Tip to cafe owner don’t let your passion for how you like to serve things get in the way of making business... every body likes their coffee in different ways not just how you like it! Grrrrr! Really...
Read moreSo much potential, so little professionalism. Google cafes in narooma and this little spot will pop up as a well rated health cafe. For someone from Melbourne that sounds like the perfect spot for a good cup of coffee and breakfast so I walked down the little town to treat myself. The missing breakfast menu which was excused with "not printed out yet" was only the beginning of the unprofessional entrepreneurship I experienced one arrival. Followed by loudly complaining about previous staff, the business and its financial situation itself, coffee being served in a mug without a spoon or a saucer, and a general negative attitude. The biggest shock was to overhear a conversation with a supplier about their "self made skinny milk" which is simply watered down fullcream milk "because all THEY (meaning her guests) are afraid of is the fat in the milk". What a absolute ripp off!!! To top it all off, paying with card isn't possible and the answer to how much cash I should get out and where was "will be around 20 bucks". $8.50 for a banana bread (which was homemade by the mother of the owner and absolutely delicious!!!) is still a big pricetag. I wouldn't have felt the need to write this review if just once over my 2 hour visit the owner would have asked how everything is or shown any form of engagement so I could have given her my feedback k in person. I hope her passion for this beautiful shop will come back and with it an...
Read moreWhen you're from Sydney, you're almost as messed in the head about coffee as melbournites. When you're from Bondi, it starts to get even closer to mindless obsession. When you've owned places that process plants and dead animals to make a quid, you want everyone to share your thirst for maximising their talents and opportunities. They make good coffee here. The lady taking your order is so friendly, you'd be forgiven for thinking she on the micro dose program. The 3 group machine sparkles like a showroom Tesla, with a production capacity that could make every coffee ordered within 200km of the place. The cakes look like the cwa prize winners, and im sure they're yum. But coffee places that operate at coffee times, need to serve what people want at breakfast and lunch coffee times. There are a few sad looking sandwiches there. A toaster (sorry if it's on offer, I saw no menu), and a plug and play mini oven, and this place would shine as bright as...
