Disappointed to see that the " redevelopment of Culters" appears to have been trashed in favour of a new Italian restaurant. Yes they did put Planks outside as an alternative ( temporary) with a lower price menu and good simple food lines. What the club needs is another Culters with food at club prices not another high priced restaurant the city already has plenty of full priced restaurants. Club members expect to be able to dine at their club at " club prices" as many make frequent visits and are looking for a simple snack or coffee & cake while attending the premises. The club provides free undercover car parking,a bottle shop and a wide range of gambling machines . There is a in-house TAB and lotto facilities. A vast array of meeting rooms accommodate very well the many clubs & organisations that rely on the club for support both as a meeting venue and for sponsorships such as the Cex Skyshow at the annual Coffs Harbour show

27.2.25 Have never been to club before so decided to try lunch at The Brasserie. Not overly impressed. I had the grilled red emperor with mash and vege. Fish was very moist but very bland. It needed some sort of citrus sauce. Veggies included well cooked carrots a piece of cauliflower which was the size of a 10c piece and the beans were rubbery and seemed like they were left overs but the mash was delicious. Partner had the seafood basket which included a piece of fish which looked like a processed piece not ‘real’ fish, 2 tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid served with chips and a small salad. The fish piece was rubbery and pretty ordinary. Chips were light and crispy just how he likes them. Lunch cost $53 and a beer and lemon lime and bitters $14. People must enjoy the food because there were quite a few people having lunch there but I don’t think we’d go back again there are far better places to enjoy lunch in Coffs.

Friendly staff. Good food. Located in town business district. Undercover parking. **** Today I again came to the CEX Club Coffs Harbour to share ANZAC Day with other Australian. And to remember our soldiers. Lest we forget I am very impressed with the relaxed yet respectful atmosphere at the Club today. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I dined on the special of Haiwan Schnitzel served with chips and salad. It was delicious. The staff lovely highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely day. ANZAC Day is important to me as an Aussie, you guys made me feel proud and included. Visit the CEX Club. You will not be disappointed.

I attended the Coffs CEX club on Saturday 9th July for the first time in 20 years. I joined as a member and saw that there was a raffle on. I explained to the ladies at the raffle ticket table that I’d just joined as a member and asked how their raffle worked. Ie do they take eftpos, where do you collect prizes etc. I was taken aback by how rude and condescending the woman was selling the tickets.. she was an old lady, with grey straight hair, a light blue shirt and a badge that said Rhonda duty manager. She proceeded to tell me.. “It’s a raffle, so you buy tickets and wait to see if your number is called. Simple” I explained I know how raffles generally work, but she was just so rude and bitter. Definitely not someone you want to run into for your first impression. We ended up buying tickets. It was such a horrible experience. I thought that I’d never return. When we ordered our food at the Brassiere and the staff there were friendly and helpful. I explained my previous experience with the ticket lady and asked for some guidance on where to hear the numbers being called and where to collect the tickets. There was a woman in a red shirt, with brunette/ red hair who was delightful and gave me instructions on what to do. Because of her and the other amazing staff in the Brasserie, my family and I will come back. The ladies on the front desk were...

Stopped in during a 3hr layover 🛩️ nice place, good food but the staff hospitality was unbefitting.

🍴Food: Food was great, popped into the plank as the bistro wasn't open yet.

Had the roast roll with chips and couldn't ask for anything more.

💰 Price was very reasonable.

🍽 Enjoyed the outdoor setting.

🤵 The staff had attitude.

First incident I was charging my phone using a power point and was rudely told to stop using their powerpoints as I might corrupt their system or I might sue them if it corrupts my phone.... nothing escalated, we apologised and decided to spend our money elsewhere, just baffled at the hostility.

Second incident my partner and I were leaving via the hallway to the side coming from the outdoor area where we were told off for using their power and rudely asked what are you two doing over there... nothing escalated, we just kindly said we were finding the exit, just a bit baffled at the hostility.

🚻 Amenities were well cleaned and nice.

🔄 Repeatability: Might have caught the staff on a bad day, would still come back if ever in Coffs again 😊

Tips from your local guide:

Don't use their power points whatever you do. Be careful which...

Yesterday me and my friend visited Coffs Harbour, and decided to go to this club for lunch. And I was Absolutely disappointed with the service. Shouldn't have young ones taking orders if they can't communicate properly with customers. I asked for 2 chicken schnitzel and then I said can I have both them with chips and salad, told us the total and it came to 10 cents under $34 and it was supposed to be $21.80. I was wondering why I had been ripped off over $10, didn't worry about saying anything and got handed a buzzer. When our meal was ready, we went up and didn't know where to go as this was our first time there and this woman behind a counter serving the food shouted out to my friend do you have a buzzer. It was in her hand, she said wait there. Then she called us over and said in a very rude tone, there's your chips and what do you want with your schnitzel, we said chips and salad. The person who took our order added 2 bowls of chips on top of our order, you have to be absolutely dumb to not understand can I have chips with my schnitzel, didn't ask for 2 bowls of chips. And the chips some were ok, others were hard and dry and the schnitzel was still raw. Never...
