I just had dinner at the Dudley again, it’s my favourite date night with my partner, low key open vibe with clean decor, and friendly staff who care about service. These are all just a bonus because the food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. We always get steaks and the quality of meat the Dudley serves is very very high. I will say, we don’t always get the rare we ordered, sometimes done to medium but at any rate the meal is well enjoyed. I will say though, no pub should charge for gravy! But they have real pepper crackers on every table so I accept the gravy surcharge- but (to the Dudley team) please stop charging for gravy, it’s a steak requirement.

There aren't enough stars for the Dudley Hotel. 5 stars for the staff who were friendly, helpful and who went the extra mile to go to the bar next door and give me table service when the beer that I liked wasn't available in the bistro bar. 5 stars for the steak that was cooked to perfection and was delicious. 5 stars for my wife's barramundi that wasn't overcooked and dried out 5 stars for having the beer ICY COLD. 5 stars for the old fashioned service that you see so rarely these days. Next time that I am passing through Bathurst I know where I will be having dinner.

First time here and WOW,what a nice place, service was great and friendly and went out of their way to make you happy, food was a delicious, great serving sizes,we ordered, mixed grill,t-bone steak and a Dudley's burger, couldn't have asked for a better meal, quick bar service when we ordered gin and squash,a vb and a ginger beer, will be back for sure, very popular as it was fully full which is a good sign it's a great place to eat dinner, only half a hour wait for the food which was pretty reasonable for the crowd that was there, total cost was $105 and was worth every cent

We have eaten at the hotel Dudley quite a few times now. We decided that for Mother’s Day we would go in and grab a takeaway like we have done before, We knew it was going to be busy and that there would be a bit of a wait.

We ended up waiting an hour for our food, and that was before I asked how much longer our order would be. A young lady we still had 6 dockets in front of mine. That’s fine, but we had already wanted an hour for 2 chicken schnitzels, a chicken parmigiana and a bowl of chips. After asking how much longer our order would be, the staff prepared it for us and we went on our way.

I got home, and the chips tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed, our chicken schnitzels were huge, we as the parmy (which was $27) was SO small, and the amount of veg we received was dismal. Half a spoon full of mash some very hard carrots and beans.

The meals are usually lovely and so are the staff, tonight was just not running very smoothly and it was very disappointing. Coming from a hospitality background myself (bar and kitchen) i was very...

I’ve been having the seafood platter since it was first on the menu. The seafood was always fresh and presented first class. It was our treat whenever we wanted a night out. Last night the platter was a total disgrace. Fish and salt n pepper squid no long fresh (frozen and tastes disgusting) the mud crab and fresh prawns has cold water oozing out of them, the bed of lettuce the seafood was served on was swimming in water. The oysters kilpatrick were cold (obviously cooked and left sitting) the chips were oily and not hot (I sent them back) and the side salad was sad as if it had been made the day before. The oil the fried food was cooked in tasted like it had not been changed for some time. I spoke to a staff member who said, you can bring it to the managers attention but it won’t do you any good. Sadly unless it changes back to fresh seafood we won’t be back to the Dudley for...

Terrible. We booked two weeks in advance to have dinner at 6:30 on Saturday the 23rd for a group of 25 and we confirmed it a couple of days out. We arrived shortly after 6:30 and spent the next 45min to an hour ordering. And the meals came out in dribs and drab. As it got later the manger sent a waiter to inform one of our group the meal he had ordered was not available and this was repeated. At 20 to 10 I decided give we were still waiting for four meals to request a full refund for all that was consumed. We got a refund for four meals but no sign of good will from the most condescending manager that only aapared when I esxalated the issue.

I take my hat of to the staff that have to work under poor management. Don't bother going there with a large group as we were one of two large groups they took...
