Like the club, great venue and the food is great. But I have to take off so many stars for the way we were treated upon entry this last Sunday night. My fiance and I carry digital licenses so when we went up to the sign in we were a bit confused about how to sign in. The lady behind the desk got really annoyed at us stating that this isn't her job to do it for us when all we asked was where we had to go in the app. There is absolutely no signage to show us how to do this. Secondly, we live too close to get in without a membership so I was going to use my mum's card to sign us in. Unfortunately she had lost it at the time so I told this to the lady expecting her to sign us up or give me an alternative way to get in. Instead she made a big deal about getting another member to sign me in and letting my partner in for free. She then told us off saying "I can't find someone to sign you in every time" and "next time don't think this will happen". I was happy to pay a fee to get in but instead she made herself the martyr and told us off for it. Her attitude really annoyed me for a good half of the night until we could relax...
Read moreBooked to go for dinner tonight, 5 people at 5.30pm. Walked in, signed in etc all good. Went out to TAB area as we were early and greeted relatives as we were there for a birthday dinner, then Maryanne (bar staff) came out and give us the statement " I don't care what you do at home but you can't touch each other here". I understand in hindsight we should of just said hi, but it's the attitude and tone in which this staff member conducted herself that surprised us. Then we were told we couldn't have more than 4 to a table but if we go into the restaraunt we could...don't understand what the difference is If you want to get a drink, you can't go to the bar, so had to raise your hand and wait 10 minutes while bar staff stand around and talk before they notice you. So we left and went to Central hotel and yes there were some rules but not like OF Bowlo. Sorry Oak Flats Bowling club but you lost over $500 in dinner and drinks tonight. Let's hope the attitude of some staff change. P.S Jason the manager was very polite and nice with instructions, just a shame...
