Love Thai so popped into AL-Oi Thai for takeaway. Got the mixed entree where I enjoyed the curry puff, crunchy spring roll in sweet chilli sauce, a tasty BBQ chicken skewer with a lovely satay sauce and you can't go past the delicious fish cake.

Then I had #57 with a dish that translates to a stir fried noodle dish for the intoxicated! Not hungover at work by lunchtime, these soft silky flat noodles went down nicely and despite being mild still has a slight chilli kick.

The owner is very friendly and greets you with a big smile and excellent customer service.

Visited again and got takeaway: #11 Gai Yang - boneless pieces of chicken marinated in turmeric, coconut, and coriander, barbequed and served with a sweet dipping sauce. Absolutely loved this dish, unique flavours and so flavoursome

#26 Gang Ped Phet Yang - aromatic milk curry with boneless roasted duck, pineapple, tomato, vegetables, and fresh basil leaves. Wow, what a delicious curry which has a lovely blend of spice, touch of heat and is creamy without being rich. Lots of succulent duck.

#30 Pad Saparot - traditional wok fried chilli paste, coconut milk, celery, and fresh pineapple. I was expecting this to be spicy but it's not, the duck curry is spicier. Lots of tender beef, delicious...

I am very unhappy with the services.

THE WAITRESS LIED ABOUT HER MISTAKES and TOLD THE MANAGER I DIDNT PAY TOOK MY ORDER WRONG

1. TOOK MY ORDER WRONG

1st the waitress took my order wrong. Then when I went to her and asked her if I was charged corrrectly. She checked it and asked me to pay.

I paid.. then I asked for a receipt….. she was trying to figure it out…. Then I said I would finish my meal and asked her to give me the receipt later. She tried and play the machine and gave up and when went back the kitchen.

2. THE WAITRESS LIED ABOUT HER MISTAKES and TOLD THE MANAGER I DIDNT PAY

I asked the manager about my receipt after I finished my meal. He shew me the order. However, half-way to my home. The waiter (manager) chased down to me said I hadn’t paid. I explained I did. I went back to the store with him. then we found out that THE WAITRESS didn’t tell me or the manager that my payment was cancelled.

I don't usually write bad reviews. The food and the service itself was good, but both my partner and I got food poisening from here. This was the only place we had both gone to together within those days/timeframe. The back did not look clean, the only possible thing I could think of is that someone did not wash their hands or handle food in a hygienic manner.

Both of us were extremely sick for multiple days over the Christmas holiday. The only 2 weeks off we took the whole year, and we spent the majority of the first week unwell and even had to reschedule family Christmas plans over this. This was extremely inconvenient and as you could imagine, disrupted plans both of us + other family members made in what is meant to be an enjoyable time of the year. Will NEVER...
