Floozy Coffee — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Went to experience this place with my own amazing bestie and was very disappointed. Very limited food choices and the coffee was...well...just terrible. We had a "Dirty Chai" Coffee and it actually tasted like dirt and was in the smallest cup I have ever seen...when we mentioned this to the staff we were sarcastically told that they were "hipster" and this was a deconstructed coffee... We had asked for honey in our coffee when we ordered and were told about how amazing their natural honey was...and ultimately it seemed like there was no honey in our coffee at all...if there actually was any honey in our coffee it was definitely washed out by the terrible taste of their coffee. As for location...you get to enjoy a carpark converted to be an outdoor dining area...and the view of tradies parking their utes in the carpark is all you really enjoy... Seriously with Honeysuckle and the beach so close...why would you come here? If you really want to have a good lunch with your bestie...go...

My experience here revealed that beautiful experiences can happen in short spaces of time. And yet it can last for days.

I researched cafes to visit in Newcastle and this was high on my list, however, I left it a bit late and was rushing for my bus. I managed to spend ten blissful minutes drinking my flat white and munching on my Floozy cookie here.

There was an undeniably warm and lovely atmosphere. The care and attention that clearly went into this cafe was felt, and this stayed with me. So far it’s the best cafe experience I’ve had in Australia, despite it being one of the shortest in time....

I visit Floozy almost every morning before work, Monday to Friday, and it’s the perfect start to my day. The coffee is always top-notch, consistently smooth and full of flavor. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff—always welcoming, friendly, and ready with a smile.
