The fun vibe and wonderful staff are nowhere near enough to make up for the atrocious manager.

We arrived just in time for our 7:30-9:30 booking and were informed that our room was unavailable due to a technical error. We were put into a different room and were told at 9:10 that we had one song left because the room was booked for 9:30. Nobody had bothered to let us know about the 9:30 booking before this.

We then spent about twenty minutes arguing with the manager, who decided to lie and say that we arrived at 7:15 in order to charge us for two hours. The manager also made us pay for each hour separately due to a mistake she made at the start of payment. The size of the group, the manager's incompetence, and the cramped space made this a miserable experience.

After we managed to escape the stairs and flee outside, a very lovely staff member spoke to us in an attempt to remediate the situation. Sadly, the end result was that my friend who booked the party had a pathetic $30 in cash - not even enough to cover fifteen minutes for each of us - thrust into her hand by the manager (who couldn't figure out how to charge a refund to my friend's card), and the business has lost several repeat customers. What an awesome night. Spur of the moment decision that was one of the best karaoke nights of my life. A team of rugby players turned up, a hens night called in and when i went to leave some of the people I had just met requested I stay and party with them. Great range of songs available in the main bar as we hadn't booked a karaoke booth or room and they are booked well in advance. The small main bar provides an intimate setting but also has an outdoor area off the main bar. The toilets were even authentic Japanese style with electric gadgets adorning them. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great service from friendly staff and the staff were all fantastic from the front desk to the rear bar. Excellent service. This is how a Karaoke bar should be. Apart from the impressive collection of drinks, including the finest (and rarest) Japanese saki and whisky, the karaoke rooms are very comfortable (leather couches) and intelligent, with touch screen systems for both queuing up the music, and ordering the beverages. Multiple large hi definition screens for the lyrics and music videos, multiple wireless microphones that last all night and nice loud speakers and colourful lighting all make for a perfect Karaoke experience. Most importantly however, are the super helpful, friendly and supportive staff, who will even express post your wallet back to you after you left it there the night before!!!
