I Have visited this wonderful inviting well run establishment on a few special occasions. ANZAC DAY being one of them. Self love what is more important than loving yourself. ❤️ On arrival by Day or night you get the best view of stockton and can see the light house lite up by night. Since New castle is a smart city the crime rate is quite low. Cameras every where so you can walk freely on your own knowing you are safe at all times. The service was fantastic... Cassidy was so friendly with a great smile. Down stairs serves dinner till 9pm. I arrived at 8:47 I was pleasantly surprised as most great food venues were shut. So I was divine guided to eat there. Who doesn't like atmosphere and a great view when eatting alone.. I tried the lamb curry.. mmmmm was delicious and the Salmon. Nice and crispy. It cracked with a crunch. They know who to care for there clients. And servicemen. I chose the Zero alcohol which wS a delectable wine as I don't drink drive anymore. But I still wanted to have a drink that would suit my meal choi e. How Eva they only had 2 choices. But the selection they had were on point. I sat upstairs, down stairs and it wS so quite my meal tray was bought to me upstairs as I couldn't carry 2 meals and climb the stairs. Genuine old fashion service. I enjoy my experience and would like to give special thanks to management as I understand the pressure far to well of delivering customer satisfaction and the family sacrifices that come along with it. I have attached photos if you are new to town of some of there specials and would recommend more zero alcohol on selection. Thank you for a wonderful evening It was my pleassure to give you guts my review. P.s watch the speed limits. It's...
Read moreUnfortunately did not live up to the expectations from other reviews. My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner whilst on an overnight trip to Newcastle, with the reviews making it seem like the best restaurant in town. Firstly, the table was sticky and dirty and the high chair for our daughter was full of stuck on food and grime - lucky we carry baby wipes to take care of this situation. Beyond that, the food isn’t fresh. We ordered a schnitzel (gotta pay extra to have mash AND veg) and brisket burger and the buzzer went off quicker than you could even throw the schnitzel in the oil to cook. The brisket burger was also dry and cold on a stale bun. The chef was rude when collecting our meal. Whilst he was putting the plates on the tray, he noticed the gravy missing from the schnitzel (I hadn’t noticed or said anything), goes to get a small serving of gravy and then slammed it on the people and scoffed as he pushed the tray towards me. I’m going to hope he was just having a bad day before work or something. Definitely not worth the $64 we paid for everything all up and the only reasons this isn’t a 1-star review is the gentleman who served me at the bistro and the young girl at the bar were both super friendly and it’s got potential given it’s prime waterfront location, if the food was up to scratch and...
Read morereally disappointed with the management team at wharf. there are staff bathrooms upstairs that are always open to the general public on a Sunday (due to how busy wharf gets). My friend used this bathroom on a saturday night unaware that they were only open to everyone on a Sunday and was kicked out over this mistake. She immediately apologised as it was an honest mistake and misunderstanding but "management" had decided it was strictly prohibited on a saturday, even though there are no signs that indicate this. Please keep in mind that we have never been to wharf on a saturday so this was news to us. My friend was more than happy to accept that she made a mistake but instead of giving her a warning, they kicked her out, taking her away from any of her friends. She was left distraught. The lack of empathy and respect is appalling. I can understand enforcing rules but the severity and harshness of their decision given a misunderstanding shows their true colours. We attempted to talk to security and a supervisor to see what could be done, but they refused her entry back into wharf as “management” made the call and it cannot be undone. this completely ruined our night. we all left after. do better wharf and protect your patrons instead of leaving them distraught and vulnerable by themselves over a silly...
