Newcastle finally gets a good representation of a Vietnamese staple. Banh Mi is served with fresh bread, crisp crust, yet soft to bite down. They have the usual fare of fillings from the classic pork slices, BBQ pork and crispy roast pork with crackling. There's also lemongrass chicken, lemongrass beef and a vege option of tofu with mushroom pate. Banh mi fillings are well balanced with pickled radish, cucumber, carrot, onions and coriander. The crispy pork is well done with the crackling on point and seasoned well with five spice. They've also started offering ricepaper rolls and will soon be offering Pho (looking forward to some good Pho in Newcastle). Vietnamese iced coffee is available and it's strong and fragrant as it should be. Who needs subway when you've got this as the better sandwich. 2nd visit (27th May 2023) This time its for the Pho. Options for rare beef Pho or combination (rare beef slices, brisket slices and beef balls) Pho. Served with beansprouts, cut chili, basil and hoisin and sriracha on the side. The portions were great and a good amount of protein. Beef slices could be more on the rare side, but the beef balls were great with the perfect bounce/chew texture. Broth was clean and flavour profile was spot on, but could benefit from being a tad beefier. The noodles were unfortunately disappointing as mine came super chopped up (over short strands of noodles). Not sure if this was intentional to make it easier to eat with just a soup spoon, but personally I'd prefer normal long strands. Iced coffee today was disappointing in that I got just half a cup filled with coffee whilst others I noticed were full cups. Will need to ensure some consistency in serving. Still tasted amazing, best Viet iced coffee in town. Pro tip: if you're not sure which to get between the crispy pork or BBQ pork, get both in one! Just ask for half and half, same price and the best of both worlds. BBQ pork was super succulent and tender. Highly recommended. Banh mi game here still going strong.

I came here w my frds and truly honest, they still handle a good quality during a lunch rush. Also, staff are rlly friendly and all the dishes are well-served. First, I tried BTN w Crisy Pork ( I added a pork spring roll and it went rlly well). I asked for extra chilli and they were rlly careful to explain how hot is the chill paste and they can balance to not make it too hot. When I visited again, I tried Combination Pho, this one took a bit longer around 10mins if you dont come in a lunch rush ( THEY SERVE AND PREPARED A PHO REALLY WELL SO THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT) When I came, you will not surprise that there is a long queue indoor and outdoor but all the staffs still friendly and warm-welcomed you. ( I FEEL APPRECIATED xx) and then, after that I tried Chicken Lemongrass Banh Mi after a few times having noodles at their shop. I was pretty sure that why there are so many people still wanna wait because of all the fresh ingredients and their promised food safety ( All the staffs always have gloves on their hands and make sure they will change it after they gave money changes or they touch something dirty ). They even change gloves when they do “ Tofu and Mushroom Pare Roll” because they dont wanna their VEGAN customers smell any meat of that roll ( They know how to maintain a quality ). They also have a really good Vietnamese Ice Coffee which has authentic taste of coffee from “ VIETNAM”. I feel like all the officers came just to grab coffee because of its dark and rich flavour. And also, the staffs know how to make joke with customers so I felt like whoever comes in always feel comfortable. ( I FEEL EXTREMELY HAPPY WHEN I CAME HERE , I laughed a lot ) x_x

This spot is my absolute favourite, and I've ordered over 50 times since they've opened because their lemongrass chicken banh mi, crispy pork banh mi, beef pho noodles, BBH and Vietnamese iced coffee are simply unbeatable. Their banh mi is a flavour explosion, and the crispy yet soft baguette is perfection. The pickled veggies and coriander add the ideal crunch and freshness. Their noodle soup dishes remind me of my time in Vietnam and the bowls are packed of fresh ingredients and plenty of meat that leave me full to the brim. The Vietnamese iced coffee is a daily essential for me. The rich coffee and sweetened condensed milk create a perfect balance of bitter and sweet. Consistency is key here - every order is a culinary masterpiece. What sets this place apart is not just the food but also the friendly and efficient staff. They contribute immensely to the positive experience. If you haven't tried their food, you're missing out on something extraordinary. Five stars aren't enough!
