I’ve been twice, both times for my birthday last year and this year (this year was a joint father days celebration). The food is absolutely delicious! The wings are fantastic, and the sharing platter is an excellent size. Tonight there were $10 ribs and they are easily some of the best ribs I’ve had. The sauce choices are also great, there is heaps to pick from to make everyone happy!

The only thing I’m disappointed with is the lighting in one particular area - the lights constantly flash and not only is it annoying it effected myself, friends, and father in a health related way both times, and while I’m going to sound old it’s way too loud at times. Whether it’s the music, or very rowdy tables.

Everyone I’ve been with has loved the food, but is very put off about the lights/sound so just a warning for others who may also feel a similar way. The food is definitely worth it but...

Very disappointed. Visited from Sydney and chose this place to have dinner with my friends and the chicken came out cold in the middle of some of our pieces. The bowl slaw came out without any sauce and when we asked if it’s meant to come with sauce we were told no than later on we’re given a sauce for it (the menu stated it comes tossed in zesty sauce). The carrots and celery on all our plates came out small cut and old like they have been cut a while ago. The potato tots came out not cooked very well. Very upset with this experience as we spent quite a bit of money and all items we ordered had a problem. The waiter was very quick to walk away from us when placing our food down and everytime we would stop her to explain what dish she put down (so we can pass it to the right person) she kept trying to walk away as she...

The aesthetic is quite similar to what you’d expect hanging out in your mates back shed. I think that’s the intention, it’s unique and I’m necessarily mocking it. This would all be well and good if bathrooms were clean, food was excellent, service was friendly and tons were well-priced. Unfortunately, this mostly was not the case.

I should mention that the service was generally good. The QR code table service is quick and efficient.

But, tins are $12 on average and I wasn’t blown away by the selection, a tad too steep in my opinion.

Food was…fine. Good selection of flavours, but quantity of food was lacking when it comes to the wings. Sides were really interesting. I had popping candy on the side and it was a vibe!

I think the place has a lot of potential, but focus needs to be placed on cleanliness and...

The sharing platter was perfect for my partner and I. We chose house buffalo, lime and chilli and Portuguese wings. Lime and chilli was definitely the winner!! Please never remove this flavour! My partner cannot tolerate spicy food and he enjoyed all 3 of the wing options without any issues. House buffalo was spot on and great option for those who like the taste of buffalo but don’t want the spice. Portuguese wings were the only flavour that didn’t really stand out. They just tasted like regular fried chicken in comparison to the other 2 flavours. Coleslaw that came with the platter was probably the best coleslaw I’ve had. Generous bed of fries There were board games so we enjoyed a couple games of chess. Would love to see fried dill pickle chips on the menu! Keep up the great work. An asset to Darby St.

I can’t find a single thing to complain about when it comes to the food here. I ordered the honey BBQ wings and shoestring fries and it was fantastic. I were there for lunch and was served in about 15 minutes. $15 buys you 8 wings and a tiny bit of salad which isn’t bad by todays standards. They have QR code table ordering which everywhere should have now. The decor can only be described as intentionally weird and purposefully tacky. But it works. It’s random, strange, and in the hour I spent here I kept finding more to look at. Not somewhere I’d take a first date, as you’ll spend the whole time trying not to get sauce on your hands, face, shirt and your date…but definitely a destination with checking out.

Wings & Tins Newcastle is a hidden gem that offers the best wings I've ever had! The flavors are bold and cooked to perfection. The shaker fries are crispy and seasoned perfectly. The venue is fun and quirky, with vibrant decor that adds to the overall experience. Live music creates a fantastic atmosphere, enhancing the dining pleasure. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the service impeccable. If you're a wing enthusiast, this is a must-visit place. Wings & Tins Newcastle has truly set the bar high, and I can't wait to go back for more wing heaven!
