Our experience at Miss Moneypenny’s was deeply disappointing, with the only saving grace being our wonderful waitress, Iona.
When we arrived for our booking, we were seated at the bar to wait for our table. After a considerable wait, we had to flag down the host, who ignored us. It later became clear that our table had been available for quite some time, yet we were left waiting unnecessarily. Additionally, our booking notes were not read, and despite clearly paying for drinks and caviar on arrival, we were incorrectly told they were not ordered.
During dinner, our food did not arrive for significant time . One member of our group had to wait even longer for their dish, meaning the rest of the table’s meals had gone cold by the time everything finally arrived. This was meant to be a special birthday dinner, but the delays and disorganization completely ruined the experience.
To make matters worse, the bartender was repeatedly touching his hair and mustache before handling garnishes, ice, and drinks—all without washing his hands. This lack of basic hygiene and disregard for health and safety regulations was concerning and unacceptable.
At the end of the night, after ordering another round of drinks, we decided to cancel them as they hadn’t arrived. When we approached the host, Brad, to arrange this, he rolled his eyes and walked away mid-conversation—an incredibly rude and unprofessional response.
Overall, the poor service, long wait times, and lack of hygiene made for an extremely disappointing experience. The only highlight was Iona, who did her best to provide good service despite the circumstances. We won’t...
Read moreI recently visited MMP in Noosa, and I believe this place has significant potential, but they need to focus on improving their customer care to truly succeed.. While I noted recommendations to leave the kids at home due to the lack of a kids' menu, it turned out to be a wise choice. The main menu features several dishes that might be too adventurous for young palates, aside from possibly the pizzas, which could work for children.
We reserved a table and were seated at the window bench. While it was cozy—which I appreciated given we were dining without the kids—it may not be the best spot for taller guests due to limited legroom.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who promptly showed us to our seats and offered water, setting a positive tone for the evening. However, the service did slow down after that. Our waiter took about 15 minutes to introduce himself, which felt a bit longer than expected for a quieter Thursday evening around 7:45 PM when we dined.
On the bright side, the food was exceptional. My husband ordered the chicken, and I went for the Barramundi. Both dishes were expertly prepared and paired perfectly with the broccolini and beetroot sides. For dessert, my husband had the pineapple slice, while I indulged in the chocolate "Gay Time," both of which were delightful.
In summary, MMP is a lovely spot worth visiting. Just be aware that the window bench can feel a bit cramped, so opting for a table would be a better choice. If you can embrace slightly slower service with a patient mindset, you’ll undoubtedly enjoy a wonderful dining...
Read moreNoosa, Hastings street, but everyone should know:
Hands down the worst bottomless experience I’ve ever had. Managers Mike and Lee were awful to work with and highly inflexible. Cancelled our reservation at 6.30pm the day before… placed my credit card on down for the reservation and was told if I cancelled before I would be charged. At $95 a head plus GST that would have been a small fortune, yet they were able to cancel less than 24 hours before our booking…. Shame on them, honestly. Especially (Mike and Le). Lee, the “superior” manager, who should have handled it more professionally, only stated that they were only open for dinner tomorrow because two chefs quit (😏) so asked what could be done since I made this booking nearly 8 months ago. That said, them being open for dinner, they couldn’t accommodate us at that time either. Okay, so be it. Annoying but yeah. I then went to tell him we went there last night for drinks and they assured us we would have a great time on Sunday. Their $20+ cocktails were mediocre at best… when I told Lee this, he said, “well then, why would you want to come back?” REALLY?!? YIKES. I hope the owners read this as it’s a shocking reply. Of course we were coming… we booked this months ago, placed a credit card to hold the space and were told if we cancelled we would be charged…. In fact, the ambience yesterday was lovely - but luckily I didn’t have to deal with mike or Lee at all. Shame on you. You ruin the reputation of Miss Moneypenny’s and I hope the owners are aware of the way you’re tarnishing...
