These guys really make you feel like you are at home! I was born and raised in Italy, and for who like me knows what it means to live abroad for many years (13 to be specific), this place brings me back to my homeland! From the welcome in the late mornings for a coffee with a biscuit or a perfectly crafted lasagna to the late night pizza al taglio (slice of pizza), plus all of the others beautiful and typical food that these guys produce, this place never stop to amazes me! The ingredients are fresh, the recipes are real and authentic, the service is warm and friendly just like it is back in the old country. Even if it ever happens to have a slight mistake, they will quickly make it up to you before you even notice.
I never thought I say this, and I don’t really like to leave reviews because I found it condescending and arrogant sometimes, but this place really deserves all of these amazing words and compliments because these guys really knows what I means to be Italian.
If you ever want to have a taste of Italy go there and then when you go to visit Italy for real, see that there’s no difference from this shop to the ones back in the old country!
Grazie ancora per l’ospitalità...
Read morePopped in for lunch during our travels. Ordered a couple of pizza slices, which can be ordered by the piece which we appreciated 👏 . The kind lady heated them under a sandwich press. We also tried the Aranchini balls. Both were very nice, just the pizza was a little too oily for me (but I know it was lovely traditional pizza). I loved the sugo tomato sauce as the pizza base- yum! And really enjoyed the slight crust on the sugo Aranchini; just the way I like it. The Aranchini was also heated for us, as we were having our order takeaway (although there are a couple of tables if you wish to eat there). We also ordered gorgeous little cannoli & a sugar coated biscotti biscuit to enjoy later today. A well run business that cares for their surroundings & customers. We thought the prices were on the mark too. Thank you...
Read moreWe arranged “Taste of Italy” to cater for my grandfather’s wake. He migrated to Australia from Italy over 70 years ago. We wanted some authentic italian food for the event.
The food we had arranged was: Arancini balls (napoli & pesto) Pizzas (Margherita, Diavola, Regina) Lasagne
This was by far the best arancini, pizza and lasagne that i’ve ever eaten and everybody at the event commented about how amazing the food was!
I am only disappointed we didn’t know about this business sooner!
Valeria is a very good communicator and made sure everything went smoothly! I recommend using “Taste of Italy” to cater for any event where you want real italian food and if you’re not sure about it, check out their shop on Mitchell Street. You won’t be disappointed!
Thank you so much to Valeria and...
